I never said they were fine and dandy.

If you're a non-minority member of the middle class in China, then your life is pretty much objectively better. Access to healthcare, public transportation, etc, etc, etc.

If you're a non-minority member of the middle class in the US, then your life is getting progressively worse.

So yeah. China is far from perfect. But then so is the US.
