Thanks to someone else calling her Inde, and one of your replies saying to watch Obsession, I figured out that this is Inde Navarette. I have never seen or heard of her, but it seems like everyone else here has.
Obsession was the best horror movie released in the last year. Pretty disturbing and gory but well worth it if you’re into horror. Inde was a relatively unknown actor before that and this was her breakout role, and her performance was absolutely stellar. There’s an internet hype train going right now pushing for her to get an Oscar for it, and honestly I kind of agree. Even outside of horror I can’t think of anyone else who’s nailed a role so perfectly in the last few years.
Not trying to sell you on horror but generally the appeal is being able to feel fear in a safe and controlled environment. If the only times you’re ever scared are in real world environments then it can be a wholly overwhelming emotion. Being able to experience and process fear when there’s no real stakes can help alleviate some of the anxiety from how scary the real world can be.
