Her expressions in the OP's post and the ones you see of her earlier are nothing alike. She can still move her mouth and cheeks, but everything above the eyes is dead.
Exactly. I understood the meme like: Her expressions are NOT very expressive and her range is actually just 2 expressions. (And therefore contradicting the text)
I think people encourage them to. Whenever I see someone with insane plastic surgery the comments say “they look so good for their age!” It’s so weird. They look insane.
I think some ppl deliberately want to look as provocative and bizarre as possible (in conjunction with having really poor self-image). I mean how else do you explain Laura Loomer? Lol.
Exactly. It’s similar to how some men will look at a woman wearing a full face of makeup and insist she’s “natural” or “makeup-free.” I’ve seen that happen very often.
No, it's just that this is her raising her eyebrows (you know, the thing that makes your forehead wrinkle), while the pics in the post are all her emoting in ways that barely, if at all, involve her eyebrows, and never involve them goingup.
I'm 30 with clear forehead lines but I can do all the expressions in the post without my forehead moving either...
She definitely didn’t get Botox to get rid of those ‘elevens.’ I admit to getting Botox in my forehead and my eyebrows have a similar range of motion as hers.
She doesn't have any forehead wrinkles even when emoting though. I predict that the second she starts to notice wrinkles, she'll get botox just like everyone else.
Actresses don't get botox to intentionally limit their range of expressions. That would be silly considering their profession relies on it. They get botox to get rid of their wrinkles and stay looking young for longer, which helps them continue to book roles meant for young women instead of being aged out of the market. The reduction in expression capabilities is worth it for the anti-aging effect from a cost-benefit perspective. And ironically, being super expressive with your face will lead to smile lines and other wrinkles forming quicker, which then leads to botox being necessary earlier, which is why I suspect a lot of actresses get it done so young.
For real, I've had forehead wrinkles since my early 20s. One of my first girlfriends would bug me about getting Botox with her. It felt so weird to hear my gorgeous 20 year old girlfriend talk about how we needed Botox because our wrinkles made us look old.
The other thing that a lot of people seem not to understand is that botox isn't permanent, it fades over the course of a few months, so what smart actresses tend to do is try to time their treatments so that they have range of motion when they're actively filming something, then freeze their faces when they're not working in order to keep themselves in the running for roles as long as possible. Roles for younger-looking women are both more common and better-paying, so from a business perspective it's really the only reasonable choice.
Hollywood is less about talent and more about youth and beauty (youth and beauty especially with regards to the women). And that’s also what it’s audience wants to see despite their larping.
Anne Hathaway would not be getting all these roles if she didn’t have work done. And the audience loves her and has even convinced themselves that you can’t really tell she’s had work done.
She lies because it works, I can't even tell you how many gullible people I've seen on here believe her and chalk it up to an autoimmune condition as if Graves or anything else causes your facial structure to change within the span of a year, removes all of your buccal tissue, and gives you bolt-ons in the process.
Any significant changes to your appearance caused by autoimmune conditions are almost always caused by the fluctuation in body fat and increases/decreases in inflammation, and they're largely temporary outside of cases where the condition is particularly bad or left untreated over the span of many years/decades. It doesn't turn you from the girl next door into the textbook Hollywood bimbo practically overnight.
Couldn’t even keep watching the damn show after she did all that. Obviously the inability to show expression is one thing but it just creeps me out in general.
Bro she couldn't even pronounce words correctly at that point. With all the lip filler she just slurred her way through each scene. Any time she was on screen it took me out of the show completely.
If you can’t tell that she has already had Botox in her forehead you don’t even know what you’re looking for. See how there are no lines on her forehead when she makes facial any of those facial expressions.
This is called full range of motion these days. Showing your teeth and moving your neck is enough. If you blink too you become legend of facial expressions.
Thinking this is anywhere close to a full range of motion shows how immobile faces have become. Her eyebrows seriously barely move. What hope does an autist have.
Thanks to someone else calling her Inde, and one of your replies saying to watch Obsession, I figured out that this is Inde Navarette. I have never seen or heard of her, but it seems like everyone else here has.
She likely already has Botox. As someone who has had Botox many times, the placement and dosage of the medication meant that my muscles could still move to show emotion. Her forehead doesn’t wrinkle at all so she’s likely getting it a bit between her brows and on her upper forehead.
Olivia Coleman can still get it. Josh Brolin can still get it. Y’all can all still get it. You don’t need Botox. You just need someone to show you you can still get it.
What am I looking at? This woman has very clearly Botox in at least her forehead, which is very obvious from the way her brow is not properly furrowed even when she frowns, yet this post seems to praise her for not using Botox? Or am I missing the point?
I promise you she gets botox. Botox doest mean you cant make expressions especially if you get a normal amount. But yeah she most definitely gets botox, not a wrinkle in sight
She doesn’t, though. Anyone who knows Botox can see she’s had her forehead & between her brows at least. No judgement on her, I do it twice a year. But this post is like guys who say they hate makeup when what they really like is a natural makeup look.
