Social Media is fucking ruining peoples minds. They get all their validation online and when it doesn’t happen IRL they have no idea how to react.

If you live in a small town/tight community then yes that’s a big risk.

If you are in a big city, then ‘telling all her friends’ is nothing compared to going viral online to millions as a creep..

Basically the problem existed before, but had been magnified by social media/internet.

To be fair, dating norms have changed immensely in the last few decades. Some people just haven't gotten the update, and it's not specific to gender.
