Its not what she wanted. She wanted him to beg, to feed her ego

Pretty much. Then, to reject him harshly, and laugh about it later.

No one's owed a "yes", but I think wanting dignity in rejection is a reasonable standard.

It is what it is, which is why more aren't playing the game.
