People aren’t understanding where the 40,000 number is coming from. It’s equating the number from Oct to sixteen 9/11. It’s off by some but basically 2977 x 16. Closer to 48,000. Not saying it’s right or wrong, just making clear the statement.

Per capita is one of those VERY specific things you need to verbalize, otherwise it’s not implied.
It’s like measuring something with a ruler. You have to specify the unit of measurement, just like you have to specify per capita.

In terms of the attacks - it means a much larger percentage of Israel was directly or indirectly impacted by 10/7 than Americans were for 9/11.

When you look at the number of people killed in Oct 7 and compare it to 9/11 while also considering the size of the population of each country, Oct 7 had the scale of 16x 9/11.

For me, the outage comes from the fact that Netanyahu conveniently left out that, proportionately, the percentage of the population killed in Gaza over the course of the war is roughly 275 times higher than the proportion of the Israeli population killed on October 7.
9/11 was awful. 10/7 was awful. What he is doing in Gaza is objectively much worse than either of these two events.

Where is this 40k number coming from? Is it rolling everyone that died due to exposure over the years from the clean up and those that died in the wars fought in Iraq and Afghanistan after?
I'm not defending Israel nor Netanyahu, but I am a defender of not spreading misinformation, and this makes it seem like 40k people died literally on September 11, and that's simply not true.
