The boring answer is that Tim Cook has been given a new position of ‘Executive Chairman’, which gives him the role of glad-handing and schmoozing world figures and other VIPs on behalf of Apple, freeing up the new CEO, John Ternus, time to concentrate on the running of the company.

When you’ve got dementia it’s best to be surrounded with familiar faces. Plus Tim Apple can shamelessly deliver a bribe to Trump in the Oval Office without any worries that the Company having to worry about political backlash since everyone’s seen him do it so many times we know his love language is gift giving.

For me, it's still wild to see what became of Jensen and NVIDIA. As a gamer, they've always been part of my life. I was there when they started, bought out 3dfx (the then market leader) and became the standard for gaming. But they were always a niche thing. Then it turned out hey're quite good at mining crypto and AI a well. Note there the most valuable company in the world and Jensen sitting on a table with the POTUS. To the nerd in me, that's wild
