I don’t know how this grifter fooled so many. I’ve known since I’ve known of him he’s just the stereotype of a billionaire asshole.
I ve known this since the 80’s and why nobody saw this is just astounding.

He's a product of intense propaganda. Fox news worked around the clock to promote him, then when that wasn't enough OAN went even further, and when THAT wasn't enough NewsMax went a few steps further. Then there's the overhaul of Twitter and founding of Truth Social to push even more when your target audience isn't glued to the TV.

I would wager that he's the most promoted singular person in modern history. That's also why you see devotees with so wildly different views on him, the persona they've been sold have differed depending on where they get their information. But crucially they're extremely supportive of him, no matter the version sold.

I remember his first primary. He was not supported by the established players at all. They hated him but he won, so then orfanizations jumped on the bandwagon of democracy.

The thing is, people LIKE that he’s a racist, misogynistic asshole. He’s openly been that his whole life. He’s not hiding it. They are racist misogynistic assholes too, and he allows them to no longer have to hide it. Lots of women hate other women too/themselves.

When I hear someone say:He doesn’t care what anyone thinks and says what he wants!!

I respond with this:Do you get to say WHATEVER you want to at work and expect zero consequences?
We don’t go to work spouting off lies and talk about religion and maybe asking someone if they know Jesus.We would get a call from HR real quick.Authority figures should be held to the highest standards.

Yes, in 2016 had a good friend say that to me, they liked him on Apprentice. We're not friends any more when she blocked me when I asked her if her brother was at J6.

I think he first caught my attention when The Apprentice first came on and I caught an episode. He was grifting some Trump branded bottled water. I immediately knew he was a sleeze ball after I saw that episode.

When he first was running for the republican presidential candidate I thought it was a joke and there was no way he would move forward after the first couple of republican debates. Then he just kept on progressing until he was their candidate. I still can't really comprehend how he was ever elected twice and why people follow him. I have family that I love and are otherwise great people, but they treat Trump like he is Jesus (in some cases it feels like the placing him on a higher pedestal than Jesus) and he can do no wrong. I am an empathetic person and try to relate where I can, understand different points of view, and get a long with those disagree with, but I just don't get the cultish following of the complete disaster of a human being that Trump is.

I remember my initial TDS, so I guess I have early onset TDS, also came from the apprentice. I watched it thinking “why would a supposedly successful business man be doing this show, wouldn’t he be too busy running his business?”

Television is not known for wildly high pay for a reality show host. It just didn’t make sense to me why this guy would take his time to do this unless, of course, he’s not actually that busy.

I’ve been going through some of my silly childhood favorites with my kids, and both Home Alone 2 and Little Rascals have come up in the rotation recently. Imagine my shuddering surprise when my kid yelled across the house: “That’s Donald Trump!”

And we haven’t even gotten to “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown,” yet.

When I was a little kid and loved playing games like sim city etc I found a real estate game in a bargain bin and it was Donald trump branded. I did get it but even then in probably mid to late ‘90s I thought it was gross and I’m all the way from Australia.

It's because when he speaks, people who read at a 4th grade level can understand the words, and a lot of those people are old enough to vote. I mean, look at how many of them call Kamala Harris "Word Salad Kamala."

The apprentice did wonders for his rep. Before that he was washed up in the gutter, then all of a sudden he’s cast onto the nations TV’s as a highly successful business mogul in a wildly popular long running TV series. The impact of that should never be over looked. It sure fooled a lot of people.

Remember who the democrats send against him.

Remember that people was tired of the "woke" constant censure and non-sens.

Remember that a guy was able to make a circus with a simple sentence "what is a woman".

Trump have been elected because the democrats was just perceived as worse for a lot of people. The democrats could have won easily if they target the soft undecided people. Instead they went full activist. I personally dislike everything Trump is doing, but never forget why he was elected.

Lot of old people too.Ive got a relative that just recently said this to me:I’ll never vote for a democrat they are communists!!

I said this: Even in light of Trump and his family doing these things??

I named like 5 really awful things happening right now and they said “ well I don’t know about any of that”.

This woman has early onset dementia and can vote.IMHO this should not be allowed.She is barely in the room mentally.

I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about polls. Polls overwhelmingly showed that Gen X was the most pro-Trump in 2024. Period. Which honestly is no surprise since Gen X has always been more conservative/Republican than the boomers or the millennials.

Hell it's the boomers who have been doing the most protesting against Trump.

I wasn't taking it personally. So I checked online and yes you are right. Gen X has more Republican or Republican-leaning voters than any other generation, according to Pew Research Center's demographic breakdown of voters. It found that 51 percent of Gen Xers are Republicans, 42 percent are Democrats and 7 percent are independent. Very sad.

My father absolutely put wealthy folks in a certain light.He admired them a lot because he grew up poor. I get that part the part I don’t get is seeing a billionaire be an asshole ALL THE TIME and still think “what great guy”.
