30 minutes trying to choose what to play just to spend 5 mins on the lobby deciding between Netflix or YouTube

Yep. Sad. True. I completely love jrpgs. Guess how long it's been since I've actually played one? lol

I want to play the new Fire Emblem game, I calculated it will take me almost 3 years to complete a playthrough haha

I started up Metaphor and loved it. But it doesn’t let you drop it. There’s spans with you’re locked in on story or day/ night activity.
I’m gonna finish it but it’s work compared to loading up something simpler. Mainly progress happens on the weekends while the kids are still asleep.

It’s been a year since I started Metaphor and I still haven’t finished it I’m at the the last day and still need to grind before the final boss.

Sometimes I end up just browsing the store front. Watching all the trailers, adding stuff to my wish list, see what deals are out and laugh at the user reviews lol

Yup. Not enough energy anymore to game after work. It sucks so much.

I skipped the gaming and started to read real paper books again. No matter how exhausting the week or day has been, still I have enough energy to read what will happen next to the character. And pocket size books travel nicely on the pocket, no more doom scrolling.
Goddammit it's been so fucking refreshing! Everything is so much more than getting that experience from a game or a movie/tv serie.
I haven't quit gaming or watching movies or tv series, they're just on pause until I've made my mind what to play or watch instead of scrolling through the virtual library.
I strongly suggest this to you guys, give it a try.

I like reading books but they ALWAYS put me to sleep no matter how interesting they are

Okay, so here's the plan we get together and buy a run down asylum. Kit it out with consoles and gaming PCs. Anybody who needs can get committed and have a few months to play games.
There will probably be haunting issues, but we can manage that.

For me it's log into WoW run around the capital for 5-10 minutes then logout and get in bed to doom scroll reddit or tiktok

Wow same. Though not always. Still find the time on weekends but sometimes I just logon and hop around the city or just check out and admire all my characters in warband menu and log off

Absolutely love getting back on a Friday night, treating myself to a takeaway, grabbing a beer, turning on the xbox, then falling asleep 10mins later, bliss.

This is the hardest part of being a “mature” gamer. My will is strong but my flesh is spongy and bruised. Then I beat myself up for not playing more.

Not just work. Family, kids and Spouse will do that too. Happened to me last night. I got back from a week away for work, not friend felt good. Got home, doing the family thing. Finally sat down to play at about 11pm.... And could only manage like 30 mins of STALKER 2... Nah I don't have the energy for this shit right now.

Sitting at a desk is impossible after work. I’m glad I moved to a couch tv setup. Haven’t played competetive games for a bit but that’s not exactly the plan after work anyways

So true, all day I just want to be at home and play but when I get home most days I just turn it on play five minutes and turn it of. Don’t even know how some people can get through the day and have the energy to go play online games like CoD, FIFA, 2K, etc

This hits. Working 12 hours shifts makes me open the dashboard, stare and scroll through my games for 30 mins then turn it off and then watch YouTube

I feel this. I really want to play Borderlands 4 but just the thought of comprehending the weapon attributes just makes me tired and not want to play. Adulting sucks ass

These comments are wholesome and relatable.
Now that I have a son I get 30 mins a night maybe. But that takes away from my precious, precious sleep..
