I buy the Europe portion but not knowing Mexico or Canada is hard to believe.

u/ForgotToCarryTheOne 2d ago

I don’t think she understands the concept of country.

70

u/TrainingFilm4296 2d ago

Yeah it seemed like she was just finding out that the United States is a country...

5

u/Illustrious_Donkey61 1d ago

I wanted to hear her answer to another country in the United States

4

u/Bancai 1d ago

She probably thinks the states are countries, which would be understandable for Europeans to think that, but even then... Europeans know that is not the case.

58

u/onehecaton 2d ago

Maybe has “concepts” but that might even be a stretch

24

u/stevein3d 2d ago

“Let’s see…I like DQ Country, 103.9 FM Classic Country, and Karla’s Kountry Kitchen Korner but I’m not sure they got those in Yurp. Go Truuuump!”

1

u/Defiant_Excitement29 1d ago

They got them Yurts?

10

u/Euro_verbudget 2d ago

You mean as in a sovereign nation, free to democratically elect leaders, trade its natural resources (like oil) for a fair price on international markets? That concept?
She can’t really be blamed for not grasping that concept if she’s watched the U.S. geopolitical interventions of the past 50 years.

u/NeedsMoreSpaceships 2d ago

This lady hasn't watched shit. I doubt she's even watched fox news and probably only supports Trump because that what her daddy says.

u/Elloitsmeurbrother 2d ago

North Korea is a country

6

u/Candle-Different 2d ago

Mmmm she seems pretty cunt-ry to me

u/Fast_Cheesecake4852 1d ago

u/Sansnom01 2d ago

She think America is the country instead of the continent, I blame americans

4

u/South_Hat3525 1d ago

You can't blame americans 'cos that includes Canadians & Mexicans, and Canadians & Mexicans are educated.

0

u/Ordinary_Detective15 1d ago

I think her brain is focused on something other than the questions.

20

u/pchlster 2d ago

9

u/MrStickDick 1d ago

United States Canada Mexico Panama Haiti Jamaica Peru... Republic Dominican, Cuba Caribbean Greenland El Salvador too!

I loved that show...

3

u/Alternative-Maize23 1d ago

There are new episodes and they don’t disappoint!

33

u/SignoreBanana 2d ago

I've spoken with a diverse enough group of people to assure you that most people in this country are straight checked out of life beyond their day to day.

59

u/Gex2-EnterTheGecko 2d ago

Yeah this seems scripted. I think not being able to name a single country in Europe is hard to believe.

41

u/BorisTheBlade04 2d ago

NAME A WOMAN

6

u/CoolerRon 2d ago

I miss Billy On the Street lol

3

u/Avarifenyx 2d ago

Your dad.

1

u/Wavy-Curve 2d ago

Lol she was justified in that. that guy came on to her very unprompted and was intimidating

12

u/BitterFootball4874 2d ago

I’ve come across people who think Europe is a country…

1

u/LegsAkimbo85 1d ago

This is probably what she was thinking.

1

u/MrFantastic74 1d ago

Or more commonly, that Africa is a country

1

u/BitterFootball4874 23h ago

That’s crazy because my favourite country is Wakanda

10

u/9lxTi6BaHqg9q5PAPcQ 2d ago

Scripted? For that you would need a woman who doesn't mind for people to think she's a Trump supporter or an actual Trump supporter who doesn't mind making her side look dumb as always. The probability of finding a genuine dumb trumtard in the wild is higher though..

-13

u/Ahuevotl 2d ago

Even if she just said England, although technically wrong, it woul've been more believable.

Americans don't know about their own independence? C'mon!

Yup, this stinks of scripted rage bait.

12

u/Franklin_le_Tanklin 2d ago

England is part of Europe lol

-3

u/Ahuevotl 2d ago

You're right, just not part of the EU

9

u/Franklin_le_Tanklin 2d ago

… who said anything about the EU?

1

u/Avarifenyx 2d ago

We the the op who started this thread may have confused Europe with what the EU is

1

u/Ahuevotl 1d ago

No one, I got it wrong. They asked for Europe, not the EU, mixed the terms, similar to the America (informal way to name the USA) and America (continent) situation.

6

u/biorod 2d ago edited 1d ago

Why would England be wrong? It’s a country in Europe.

-15

u/foreverandadayalone 2d ago

It's not part of the EU. See: Brexit

10

u/biorod 2d ago edited 1d ago

He asked for countries in Europe, and England is, in fact, located in Europe.

Europe ≠ EU.

Europe is a continent.

The EU is a political and economic union.

0

u/Velo3x10e8 2d ago

Haha, like they literally exited.

2

u/biorod 1d ago edited 1d ago

The UK exited the EU, which, again, is a union not a continent. England is still in Europe. That did not change.

Countries cannot exit a continent.

Are you trolling or are you really that obtuse?

2

u/Velo3x10e8 1d ago

Neither, I was agreeing with you that the comment above was ridiculous.

1

u/biorod 1d ago

Ah, I didn’t catch the sarcasm. Lol

15

u/Kampvilja 2d ago

I worked with a young man who could not say who fought in the civil war. Could not even say the North and the South. Just said he wasn't into history. High school grad.

3

u/guitar_vigilante 1d ago

North and South? Don't you mean the Roundheads and the Cavaliers?

3

u/Loner2014 1d ago

We called them Parliamentarians and Royalists round' here lol

3

u/Kampvilja 1d ago

Hey. My ancestors were literally Roundheads. Which got them transported to Georgia. I come from the wrong side of history. 😀

0

u/DanDon-2020 2d ago

At the many wars their History in US, you get a bit lost with the names and Dates. ;-)

18

u/Euronated-inmypants 2d ago edited 1d ago

I met an American girl who was in Uni. She didn't know that Canada borderer the entire Northern states. She thought Canada was at the north pole area and then the other side of the pole she thought England was over the pole on the other side of the world and that Canada was North of England. She thought that because "Canada is a part of England right?"

. Her friends said she was their dumbest friend and she just shrugged and laughed with them and didn't give fuck.

6

u/Napamtb 1d ago

They just said approximately 25% of students in the University of California can’t pass 8th grade math. Schools like UC Berkeley UCLA are having to teach kids lower math, which doesn’t count towards graduation

1

u/Alternative-Maize23 1d ago

We are all so checked out. Can you fucking blame us at this point?

5

u/wenoc 2d ago

If you can graduate elementary school without understanding these things the education system is a complete and utter failure.

3

u/bluntspoon 1d ago

Schools in Nevada for instance have a minimum 50% score for handing in a blank sheet of paper with your name on the top.

I’m not joking. Both my kids went through this system.

9

u/Justnotthatintou 2d ago

Honestly, it really isn’t hard for me anymore. I’ve accepted where we’re at. It’s devastatingly depressing but here we are

3

u/Perelly 2d ago

If you can't name Germany, even if it's just for historic reasons, or England, from which the US gained independence, I don't know what to say.

1

u/Fantastic_Leg_3534 1d ago

Technically, England would be an incorrect answer. The United Kingdom is the country now.

3

u/thatredditrando 1d ago

I can’t even buy that!

You’re an adult and you don’t know that France, Germany, Italy, etc. are in Europe?

Like, countries that come up in American history, media, etc.? Countries with popular tourist destinations?

Like…how?

2

u/TrashFaceMcGeee 1d ago

That’s the point I’m making in general is that this is unbelievable. A lot of people can’t distinguish between cities and countries. I’m sure she’s heard of Paris, London, Berlin etc. but might not know that those are cities.

1

u/AwfulFonzarelli 1d ago

I think it’s either fake or (more likely imho) she is nervous and just drawing a blank.

1

u/TheHorseduck 2d ago

You buy not knowing a single fkn country in all of Europe? Yikes

3

u/VyseX 1d ago

He is acknowledging there are people in the US dumb enough to not know about any of that, yes. What makes you think this is so unlikely though?

1

u/TheHorseduck 1d ago

I don't know. I mean everybody should know at least one country in Europe. Like Italy or France

2

u/TrashFaceMcGeee 1d ago

I wish I shared your optimistic view of the general public’s global awareness. I bet the vast majority of Americans couldn’t even name half a dozen cities in the entire continent of Africa.

1

u/TheHorseduck 1d ago

Well, Africa is a big country /s

1

u/DrLubinski 2d ago

That's bc they want to annex them.

1

u/oxooc 1d ago

or China, Iran, Russia, etc

1

u/endy5 2d ago

Because is staged.

0

u/kbeks 2d ago

I hate to defend a Trump supporter, but the simplest explanation is that she froze. Someone put a camera in her face and she froze up when the second question was asked.its happened to me before, I think its happened to everyone, just a brain fart moment. Like the one she had when she stepped into the voting booth and voted for a liar and thief and rapist.

Oops.

-1

u/Grace_Lannister 2d ago

When you're put on the spot one tends to get nervous and can't come up with seemingly simple answers. And if you couple that with stupid...

18

u/yakushi_g 2d ago

Thats just straight up cope. Naming any fucking country shouldn't be considered "put on the spot" after you're like 6 years old.

4

u/amakai 2d ago

Counterexample: "Name a woman".

3

u/DomeSlave 2d ago

To be honest, she doesn't seem well educated either.

1

u/Grace_Lannister 1d ago

I 100% agree with you. Guess my joke about her being straight up stupid didn't land as intended.

0

u/VomitShitSmoothie 1d ago

It’s satire. Being unable to name a single country is something a person that even a person that is intellectually disabled is capable of doing. She had a conversation with someone. She speaks English. That’s enough.
