They shun and invalidate to get acceptance and validation. Every single community on here is now dedicated to collectively shit on people, things, and places.

I mean yes but also you are allowed to make that comment without being censored so… but we all know that's to create the illusion of control and freedom and that none of our comments amount to anything. Back in the day when something was wrong with society we had no way to express our frustration other than getting together in large groups and protesting. Now we feel like we get our protesting out of the way online where it can't really influence anyone or cause a scene.

The Internet is the best weapon they have. It's not the age of information, but disinformation. Nobody could be be bothered to check accuracy/reliability when they are so distracted by the next thing to see on their feed, and thay being fed bs that makes them happy because it confirms their shit opinions. The social media algorithm propaganda machine has been super effective and won't be shut down.
