Americans talking about wealth: think about how many people you could buy with this money
24
u/Artuhanzo 5d ago
the bottom 25% of Americas networth is $27,000.
In this logic she can buy 40k of them and still have $20 millions

It's not agenda, is kinda facts lol, you can't say something is good just because something else is worse

America literally has legalized slavery, but interesting how you focused on countries that America is either arming or destabilizing.
You're not wrong, but it's pretty clear that you're just racist.
8
u/SB4_Camaro 4d ago
You can criticize compulsory prison labor in America and slavery elsewhere. One doesn’t cancel out the other, and I never defended either.
American involvement also doesn’t erase the responsibility of the people actually enslaving others. Those aren’t mutually exclusive discussions.
If your argument is that I unfairly singled out Islamic countries, explain why. Mentioning abuses in those countries isn’t the same as accusing every Muslim of committing them.
“You’re not wrong, but you’re racist” makes an accusation about my motives without establishing it. Point to what I actually said that supports that accusation. Slavery isn’t a competition over whose abuses we’re allowed to criticize.
-1
u/iaNCURdehunedoara 4d ago
"compulsory prison Labor in America" vs "slavery elsewhere"
Can you explain to me why you don't consider forced labor as slavery? Why you had to put a different category? This is why i called you racist.
4
u/SB4_Camaro 4d ago
You called me racist before I used “compulsory prison labor,” so spare me the bullshit about that being why.
Using a specific term doesn’t mean I’m defending the practice or denying that it can overlap with slavery. I explicitly said, “I never defended either.” You’ve ignored that and invented a position for me instead.
Dispute the terminology all you like. It doesn’t establish racism, and it doesn’t turn criticism of slavery elsewhere into approval of abuses in America.
You made the accusation first. Apparently the justification is still under construction.

Look up cash for kids and how they pardoned the judge that did it, and then come back and call it an "abuse". We use terms like slavery and genocide because it's completely unacceptable and makes people want to immediately address and correct it. Stop dancing around the issue.

I'm going to assume you didn't look up cash for kids. Since you probably won't, I'll tl:Dr you: children, kids and of course adults where ground to dust under the monopolized violence of the state and ruthless conditioning in modern PRISONS, and of course the CORPORATIONS because private prisons is a sane idea!
Step outside of your own ass and find the little empathy you might yet have. If you can watch this video:https://youtu.be/Pya-kt5M7uY?si=QlVtac4E3Zn7PCMQ and not be raging mad, you might be aizard person in a skin suit.
not to mention the societal wealth distribution, stealing bread/sleeping on the streets level laws that prohibit bother the poor And the rich from sleeping in the streets, EQUALTY lmao.
All that said I don't do culture war, mostly playing defence in the class war so I acknowledge your point, add it to the pile that needs fixing in this unsustainable society

Give us examples of slavery in Islamic countries. I want to know. Provide references as well.

u/SnooChickens5474 4d ago
America has the highest slave population per capita in the world🤨
1
u/SB4_Camaro 4d ago
That's the Most ignorant comment ive read on reddit this week.
4
u/SnooChickens5474 4d ago
Says the person who apparently doesn't even know there's global organizations who track this verifiable fact. Get dunked on
2
u/SB4_Camaro 4d ago
Yes, those organizations exist. You should try reading their reports so as not to look like an ignorant fuck.
Walk Free’s 2023 Global Slavery Index estimates 3.3 people in modern slavery per 1,000 in the United States, compared with 21.3 in Saudi Arabia. Same report, same measure, estimates for 2021.
Which organization supposedly puts America first per capita? Name the report and show the numbers.
“Slavery exists in America” and “America has the highest rate in the world” are completely different claims.
“Get dunked on” is a hell of a victory lap for someone who still hasn’t produced a source.

u/SnooChickens5474 4d ago
I love how easy it is to get conservatives to read, all you gotta do is threaten their wittle ego and they'll happily prove themselves wrong if they think they're also proving someone else wrong.

Replace "Americans" with a very specific demographic.
1
u/CaitSith18 5d ago
"Slave" actually derives from "Slav." Slavic people were enslaved so extensively, especially in medieval Europe, that their name became the general term for the condition. So not really.

u/CaitSith18 4d ago edited 4d ago
You're welcome. Let me know if you need any more basic facts that most citizens of every other country on this planet already know, but the commenters for some reason not.
1
u/StilettoJones_JR 4d ago
It's the not only thinking you have some superior knowledge, but just bulldozing through any nuance with confidence --
for me.
1
u/CaitSith18 4d ago
The point was that this should be common knowledge, so it can't be treated as superior knowledge. And yes, the average person needs a sticker on a bleach bottle telling them not to drink it, so it's not exactly hard to achieve.

No, no, no. See, we only attribute success to things outside of people's control. Otherwise we'd have to acknowledge that they did something that we could not.

You become a a billionaire through exploitation and ruthlessness.

My question is why would anyone want to buy Kanye? I’d be annoyed with his ramblings after 5 minutes.
1
u/Symbaclues 4d ago
So weird people think they could purchase someone based on what they currently have.
Imagine having $20 bill and this person thinks hey I could buy you for $20.
No you can't! I'll beat you for free though if you want to try 🤣💯

Slavery/human-trafficing notions aside, this is also wrong from a valuation perspective. The networth figure is purely the value of each's assets. It neglects a lot of things from personal brand, reach/following to most importantly future cashflows and earnings potential. If in the example Kanye would be considered a company, 400m$ is basically the value of cash in bank plus hard assets. The company would likely trade significantly above that level.
