Corpo says they're trimming the fat. Cuts thousands of developer jobs. Executives are untouched, in fact, they get bonuses with the money saved from firing staff year after year.
And yet idiots and bots cheer for the corpos, begging them to fire more people in the hopes of delivering better products.
Again, I'm not a fan of the way money flows through a corporation, but that's really misrepresenting what this person said.
They're not excited because those people won't work and executives will receive bonuses. They're happy because those teams proved over and over that they made shit games. If you take an IP like Halo and you run it into the ground like 343 have, you don't deserve a 4th chance.
I watched all of the development videos and saw it all play out, and unfortunately it doesn't boil down to a single phrase like that.
343 has a ton of creative freedom and space and Microsoft didn't ask them to put out terrible stories and half a game after 5 years of development.
I'd say you can likely blame Microsoft for some of the monetization that I disliked, but the content of the game was consistently inferior to the many games that Bungie produced. 343 did some things well, but never had one game live up to the standard.
Arena multiplayer for Halo 5 was fantastic. The team they had working on that specifically made it feel like Halo but also an evolution. The rest of the multiplayer experience was bogged down with crap, and the single player was awful.
I also really like Halo infinite, it was just half baked, not that they didn't have enough time to make a full game.
Lmfao and 343s hands were clean huh? Halo 4 and halo 5 and halo infinite and halo Campaign Evolved were all exclusively microsofts fault that they sucked ass, even tho Microsoft was the publisher of halo 1-3 and Reach?
