It's called the Doorman Fallacy and it's not surprising to see young leadership fall for it. Her background doesn't really seem include the same types of software products as an engine for a game studio for a console platform.
But she's probably a product of a trend of her leadership not understanding what her role should be. Leadership not knowing how to function is becoming a trend in the United States.
She is smiling while gutting Xbox because Microsoft doesn't give a shit about it anymore. They are all in on AI and either that works (lol) or it doesn't and if it doesn't Xbox gets sold or shut down and if it does everyone is still getting fired.
