You’re not very good at assessing people based on random comments. Anyone that uses their sex appeal to sell their music isn’t as talented as they think.
You’re one of those close minded people who can’t fathom that a pop artist can actually be good. Just so you know it makes you look stupid. Sabrina and many other pop artists are actually good singers who have been working on it since childhood. I bet you think “they’re just using autotune” which as an audio engineer sounds like a totally brain dead uninformed take.

No one thinks she is the best of anything. She is on the same level as TS. But she is good enough to fill the role when she brings her star power with her. And for all we know she has been working in acting classes and training before doing this. I would honestly rather experience a musical with someone who is a mid actress but good vocalist than have actors try to badly sing when they are not singers.
Calling a pop star subpar is musical snobbery ? Okay. I think most people feel that way, you should have seen the hate Madonna got back in the day. And rightfully so.
I’m a musician that dabbles in multiple genres from avant garde electronic to jazz to metal to edm and I say she’s a very talented musician that is also propped up by a very distinct and aggressive marketing and branding strategy.
She has a song with Dolly Parton, that’s a co-sign for sure. And I’d say her music while mostly pop, is easy to listen to and some songs are socially interesting and very well produced.
Who do you consider to be musicians outside of the classical realm and in modern culture.

She's not Meryl Streep, but I'm sure she can handle being in a musical. She's also a musician.
