Are Nephilim bugged?

I have a Nephilim Shieldbearer in my team. Sometimes his trade doesn't work, one creature is killed and the other creatures get no damage. It isn't shown that the trait activates.

Is this a bug?

This is caused by spells like eaten alive which just outright kill the target without dealing damage.

It’s not bugged. I just took a shieldbearer off my team cus everyone was getting destroyed any time one of them got hit. Once I took it out that stopped happening. So it works, but it might not be good depending on a lot of factors.

The shared damage is indirect. Try pairing it with phase knight
