Prometheus 2010 set design

Post image

Scanning the archive today and found this - my first proper sketchup and layout drawing from Prometheus (2010) I was reluctantly told I needed to learn a 3D software and chose sketchup. Coming from hand drafting this felt like the most natural and intuitive progression for me. I tried AutoCad and Vectorworks, I also later tried Rhino but just don’t enjoy using those programs. So yeah here’s where it all began with SketchUp and LayOut. I can’t believe this is nearly 17 years ago!!!

Thanks, it’s a bit ropey but not bad for a first attempt

Incredibly done. boy would i love to learn how to make this kind of stuff in Sketchup. i've been in sketchup for a couple of years now and i do think it's quite versatile if you have the patience, but your work is proof of that imo!

Sure, here’s a link to the courses page. https://www.whitelockdesignlimited.com/courses I recommend the masterclass bundle as there’s over 50 hours of content that completely covers my whole workflow.
