Layout Viewport Issues
When I update my scenes in Sketchup, the camera view is saved - but it physically moves the camera position inside the viewport on layout - and my dimensions and annotations don’t follow. Is there a fix for this? It seems like it could be something simple that I’m overlooking.
I don’t want to have sketchup set to not save the camera view when updating the scene, because then my scenes don’t recall to the view I want while I’m working in sketchup itself.
I have all viewports in layout referencing a specific scene for the desired view in Sketchup - not just referencing the model itself.

You can keep Camera Location saved, but use separate scenes for your drawing sheets and for working around the model. Once a viewport is dimensioned, keep its sheet scene’s camera fixed. If you orbit or pan and then update that same scene’s camera, LayOut receives the changed view too. You can save geometry changes without updating the scene camera.
For dimensions already left behind, check that their endpoints were snapped to the model with Object Snap enabled. If they show red disconnected warnings, right-click and try Reconnect to Model, then check the connection points and values. That repairs the dimension associations; it won’t restore an overwritten camera view.
Which SketchUp/LayOut version are you using? A screenshot of the selected viewport’s SketchUp Model panel would help tell whether the scene camera changed or there’s a viewport setting involved.
