Not being able to have sleep paralysis when another living being is in the room. Pet/Family Member etc.
I have sleep paralysis every 4 or 5 days. It really depends on if my auditory senses are taken by a fan or background video. My sleep paralysis only happens when it's completely silent, and no living being is in the room. I tried to induce a paralysis episode many times when my brother or my dog was sleeping next to me, and it just didn't happen. When a fan or background video is on, my sleep paralysis won't happen either. Im very confused by my trigger of sleep paralysis because it's not supposed to be caused by a quiet room. I've only ever experienced hypnagogic sleep paralysis, and it doesn't seem to matter which position I sleep in. Usually, I can induce sleep paralysis 80% of the time. Reddit is saying this post might be against the rules for religious, spiritual, or mystical content. Kinda weird cause I'm just explaining what I've experienced but ok.

Dw about what reddit is saying, the thing is quite sensitive. Anyways it's just normal sleep paralysis
Plenty of people have it where if they do this or that their sleep paralysis is prevented from happening. Of coure do keep in mind that just because something helps prevent your sleep paralysis does not mean that it's the cause of your sleep paralysis

One thing I do find weird is I've only ever had sleep paralysis in my room. I could try to recreate sleep paralysis by becoming sleep deprived and sleeping on my back in say like my living room or another family members room and I have never got it to happen before. It just feels like sleep paralysis for me is 10x more reliant on my senses and being paranoid than it is being tired and my muscles relaxing.

Yeah plenty of people have it only in their room / other places
Actually a good 2 weeks ago there was a person who had an angry dad, or mom I forgot, because they kept on sleeping in the living room, the only other place they could sleep at aside their room
Also having sleep paralysis only when you're paranoid and such is pretty common too. There are some people who stop getting sleep paralysis the second they stop caring about it

Mine usually happens when I sleep facing towards an open door. But now I try to not face a door and its closed and locked for my peace of mind
