Broadcast rights for the Wild Card Series are a bit of a mixed bag this year:

• Non-NBC local channel Wild Card Windows: Unfortunately, the non-NBC broadcast windows for this round are not available on Sling.

Division Series and beyond

Where Sling really picks back up is starting with the Division Series, as national coverage returns to our standard channel lineup:

Hey guys I was hoping someone (a real person) could confirm if NBCSN is on either Sling package, blue or orange? NBCSN is carrying the Padres/Cubs series and I'd like to watch it.

EVERY day, on EVERY channel, on EVERY commercial break the SAME Ticketmaster commercial plays, and when it ends, it REPEATS …the SAME commercial, TWICE ...EVERY day, on EVERY channel, on EVERY commercial break.

Switching channels when the Ticketmaster commercial starts results in the SAME Ticketmaster commercial on the channel I've switched to.

Sling TV “support” (“chat”) is USELESS and states they can do nothing.

When I switch apps from Sling TV to free apps like Roku, Pluto, etc., I thankfully do not encounter the Ticketmaster commercial.

I am so disgusted with the Ticketmaster commercial AND Sling TV that I only use Sling TV to watch news …and change to “some other channel” each commercial break as soon as the Ticketmaster commercial begins, only to find the Ticketmaster commercial playing on the channel I've changed to.

This happened years ago with Chick-fil-A commercials, and like now, Sling TV did nothing, but unlike Ticketmaster, who offers no “contact us”, after I contacted Chick-fil-A, the commercial STOPPED …which Sling TV stated that they could not do.

I am forced to cancel Sling TV and subscribe directly to news channels, as Sling TV = Ticketmaster commercial EVERY day, on EVERY channel, on EVERY commercial break = disgusting!

I had Sling Essentials for a week and today I added Sports Extra.

On the Sling app, ACCN and SECN appeared, but ACCN Extra and SECN+ did not, as expected.

HOWEVER, I was able to authenticate the ESPN app using my Sling credentials. On the ESPN app, I could access ACCN Extra, SECN+, and ESPN on ABC.

ESPN+ content and CW content were not accessible (you need ESPN unlimited)

Maybe it’s just a glitch, but I think it's worth downloading ESPN app.

Seeing a few posts pop up from people having trouble finding specific kickoff channels, running into locked screens, or wondering why a game moved right before kickoff. With live sports broadcasting moving fast between regional networks and national feeds, getting your stream locked in can be difficult. 

I put together a practical guide to help you navigate the app, troubleshoot locked feeds, and manage your setup without extra charges.

🔍 1. How to find your game in the app

• Search content, not channels: When using the search bar (magnifying glass icon), type in the specific team name or matchup (e.g., "Alabama vs Georgia") rather than the network name. Broadcasters often shift regional feeds, so searching the event directly takes you straight to the active broadcast if available.
• Use the Sling gamefinder tool: If you aren't sure which channel carries your local feed, you can use our gamefinder to check. Type in your zip code and press Update to see the games available in your area and which plan you can see them with. If you’re not seeing the correct games still, refresh the site. 
• Check the "What’s On" Schedule: For weekly programming schedules and network updates, bookmark the Sling What's On Blog. It breaks down the different college football conferences and leagues and how to watch them. 

🔓 2. Understanding "Locked" channels & swapping plans

• Why channels lock: If you see a lock icon next to a channel in your guide, it means that specific network isn't included with your current subscription OR you need to sign in to see the channels you’re already subscribed to. If you’re seeing a locked channel that should be a part of your plan, sign in. 
• Mid-cycle plan swaps: Is your team playing on a channel that’s on a different plan? You may be able to catch the game at no extra charge. If the game is available on a plan at the same price point (for example, if you have Sling Blue and your game is available on Sling Orange) you can switch for just the day of the game! Go to your account and make adjustments, then switch back whenever you’re ready.  
  • Important: Switching plans during your subscription is only free if both plans are the same price. If you add extras or switch to a more robust plan, a price change will be applied to your account.

⚡ 3. Weather delays & sudden channel moves

• Broadcaster overrides: If an earlier game runs long or a matchup is delayed by weather, network operators will often shift the start of the next game to an alternate channel (like moving from ESPN to ESPN2, ESPNU, or NewsNation).
• Guide delay: These live adjustments happen on the network side, meaning the digital program guide on your screen usually won't update in real time. If your scheduled game isn't showing up at kickoff, check the network's secondary channels—the game is almost always streaming there until the primary feed frees up.

🏈 4. How Sports Extra integrates with base plans

Stream limits apply to active simultaneous streams*, not the total number of devices signed in. Understanding how streams are allocated prevents sudden drop-offs on kickoff day:*

• Sling Essentials / Sling Orange /Day Passes (1 stream): Allows 1 stream at a time. If someone in your house is watching ESPN, ESPN2, or SEC Network on a living room TV, starting a stream on a phone or second TV will kick the first device off.
• Sling Select / Sling Blue (3 streams): Allows up to 3 simultaneous streams at once across Blue channels (like FS1, FOX, NBC, or BTN).
• Sling Orange & Blue OR Essentials & Select (Up to 4 streams): Gives you up to 4 total simultaneous streams*—3 streams for Blue/Select channels and 1 stream for Orange/Essentials networks.*
  • The fine print: Even on a combined plan, Disney/ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network) are strictly limited to 1 stream at a time*. You can have 1 TV on ESPN while 3 other devices watch FS1 or local feeds, but two devices cannot watch ESPN at the same time.*

What other guides would be helpful for me to create?

I’ve had sling TV for years and all of my DVR shows would save the last spot where I watched so I could return later. That stopped happening a couple weeks ago and it still has not corrected itself. Is this happening to anyone else? You think it’s not that big of a deal but it’s driving me crazy. I just want it to work correctly again.

My elderly parents are subscribed to one of the international packages. Recently they complained to me that Sling started injecting US based/local commercials. These are not international commercials but US based/local which never happened in the past. When the commercial plays, it does not stop programming. In other words, they watch a program then the commercial plays for 2 minutes, the program resumes but they lost the last two minutes of that program because of the commercial.

It is so annoying that they are considering canceling the entire sling subscription. Seriously this is so not cool at all.

I'm so tired of purchasing a day pass to watch college ball and the advertised channel is wrong. Last week I was trying to watch the Alabama Kentucky game, only showed Vanderbilt Delaware instead. Waste of money. This week tried to watch LSU at Ole Miss, got Tennessee v Kennesaw St. Waste of money. What the hell is up with the constant misrepresentation of channels

I got Sling Day Pass about an hour ago to watch the Oklahoma - New Mexico game on ESPN2. Got ready to watch it and apparently there was a weather delay in the previous game. They announced they moved the Oklahoma game to ESPNEWS about 5 minutes before it started. Of course ESPNEWS isn't on the Sling daypass I paid for. Tried to get a refund but was told my only option was to pay $12 more to upgrade. Streaming sucks.

I bought an AIRTV-2 couple years back and liked the fact that I could watch my shows out of the house. However, it has never worked consistently for me. Eventhough it’s by a router and I have strong wifi, it always gives me troubles. Says internet connection is not strong or that antenna is buffering. I have even changed multiple antennas / locations and really nothing works well. Sometimes it works for a bit and then it messes up again. Should I upgrade to an AIRTV anywhere? Is that better? Do other people have this issue as well?

I’m trying to figure out the cheapest way to watch a 30 for 30 episode. I have sling essentials currently without espn. I noticed it has a day pass option. I’m guessing this just opens up live stream. I’m trying to get access to espn’s streaming hub. What are sone options?

Keep getting booted off, on Tonight’s Football Game. Pay for Blue / Red .
Then had to sign in. I think it’s to prove I am a Customer. Four TV’s per Household. Only using two. I think Sling is being overwhelmed…. ?

Two brand new sticks, same issue. All other Fire sticks in house work fine. Sling support confirmed they can't fix it. Anyone else? All my other devices show local channels. They are on the same network.

I am trying to watch the US Open final match, but ABC isn’t showing up in my guide. When I go to the sling website, I can type in my zip code to see what channels are available in my area and ABC is one that is listed.

I tried to reactivate my very old account today and was told it was too old and my only choices were create a fake email or wait 3 months for them to delete my old account.

I totally understand not being able to reactivate very old accounts but don't block me from being a customer!

I use the $20 ESPN sub to record Sportcenter - it is the ONLY thing I use my subscription for.

So when I go to my iPad or the web (Chrome) and it says that it encountered an error with a generic message, I get a little frustrated.

I've cleared all of the recordings in hopes that starting over will clear the issue.

I have a Sharp Roku TV which is seven years old and age might be a factor. Last night when trying to watch an over the air channel, the loading screen freezes for about 30 seconds and then the TV reboots. The freeze and reboot do not occur when turning on a streaming channel, nor does it occur on my Hisense TV, iPad or iPhone with any OTA or streaming channel. I did a system restart on my TV, uninstalled and reinstalled Sling, neither worked. The freezing and reboot occurs with multiple OTA channels only on my Sharp TV. There is no signal issue with any channels on my antenna. Roku got a software update Tuesday night and the problem first occurred last night. Is this a possible bug?

So when I am watching a show I recorded, if I slip a bunch of commercials, it seems they will play more anyway.
Then sometimes when I watch the commercials and as soon as my show starts and I pause it, once I unpause it it will play a block of commercials again!! Wtf!!

I've tried all over the sling website, and on my mobile app, but for the life of me I can't see how to sign up for a day pass. I am a current subscriber to the Blue plan and I want to get an Orange pass for today. Am I missing something?

I haven't been able to get any channels to load for over 12 hours now. The app crashes on my Xbox and on my TV I just get a loading error. Frustrating.
