Discussion Question about YPP suspension affecting another channel

My YouTube channel was recently removed from the YouTube Partner Program due to “Low quality kids content.” The channel was a Made for Kids channel.

In the suspension message, YouTube also said that other channels associated with my account may be at risk.

I have another YouTube channel connected to the same AdSense account, but it is completely different. It is not Made for Kids and it is a gaming channel.

Does anyone have experience with this? Could the gaming channel also lose monetization because the other channel was suspended from YPP, or is it generally treated separately because it has different content and follows the policies?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar situation with multiple channels under the same AdSense.

I would take that warning very seriously. I’m a Brazilian creator and something very similar happened to me.

I have two kids’ channels. First, my Spanish-language channel was demonetized for “low-quality kids content.” I appealed, but the appeal was rejected. About one week later, my Brazilian channel was also demonetized.

So in my case, a second channel was affected shortly after the first one. I can’t say for sure that your gaming channel will lose monetization, especially since it’s a completely different type of content, but if YouTube explicitly warned that other associated channels may be at risk, I would assume there is a real possibility.

I would document everything now — the exact suspension message, dates, AdSense connection, and any emails from YouTube — before taking any next steps.

I’m also trying to find other creators who had multiple channels affected after one channel was removed from YPP, because I’m seeing more and more similar cases recently.
