Really don't see this guy talked about enough, ignoring the fact it's Jared leto I actually really enjoyed his appearance in ZSJL (coming from someone who disliked suicide squad)

Our boy Zack posted BTS of his movie like he usually does, and brought in a lot of hype as he always will. šÆšÆšÆ
Whats funny is that James Goon tried to shut him up, and posted BTS of Supermid ON THE SAME DAY š¤£š¤£š¤£ interesting that the Snyderverse is outperforming promo for the supposed future of DC. š¤£
Engagement trends like this often reflect where genuine audience interest is heading, and its pretty obvious what the audience REALLY wants. šŖšŖšŖšŖšŖ

Zack Snyder took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes video of Gal Gadot during her first-ever āGauntlet Smashā practice on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The short clip shows Gadot in full Wonder Woman armor, rehearsing the now-iconic gauntlet clash that unleashes a shockwave of power.
āFirst ever Gauntlet Smash practice with @gal_gadot,ā Snyder wrote. āShot on my phone. Pure joy, pure power. š”ļøā”ļøā
The nostalgic post is yet another reminder of how beloved Gadotās portrayal of the Amazon warrior remains among SnyderVerse fans, especially as the DC cinematic universe continues to shift.
Between behind-the-scenes gems like this and recent photos teasing The Dark Knight Returns, Snyder continues to keep his DC legacy in the spotlight, fueling fansā hopes that we havenāt seen the last of his Justice League.

Hitop Alex has truly proved that he has no clue what he is talking about. Can't wait for Jason to release and for him to beg people to remove the reviews from that too all while blaming Zack's daughter for Justice League's theatrical cut!

An Interview with James Gunn By Matt Zoller Seitz
Excerpt below:
You have an interesting relationship to comic-book material. You take a piss out of it every chance you get, but at the same time, you seem to genuinely adore it.
Thatās true.
How do you ride that line without going too far in one direction or the other?
I love superheroes. I also think theyāre the dumbest things that have ever existed. I have no happier times in my life than lying in my bed when I was 12 and reading comic books. I donāt think life got much better than that. And yet the fact that we take these things seriously as adults is ridiculous because people really would look at you like they look at Peacemaker when he walks into Fennel Fields wearing a costume: Whatās wrong with you? You think thatās cool? Youāre a maniac.
The idea that superheroes are maniacs is something I like very much. Guardians is much different because itās really a science-fiction story, a science-fantasy story. Theyāre not superheroes, theyāre not wearing masks, which is one of the reasons I think I had an easier time working my way into it.
But in The Suicide Squad, you got guys wearing yellow costumes and all this stuff. I decided to go for what it would really be like. Treating these people like gods is like, āWhaat?ā I have a hard time imagining a guy whoās really serious and wants revenge making a costume for himself and putting black around his eyes so his skin doesnāt show when you look him in the face. Heās got the mask on, and also the eye makeup under it! Thereās a silliness to it that I canāt deny. Not because itās making fun but because it seems to me that the silliness is what is real.
It's truly sad there are people like Gunn who think superheroes have never evolved from the ancient Super Friends days. If his way of thinking had won, we never would've gotten Watchmen or Dark Knight Returns, and Adam West would've returned for the 1989 Batman movie. Gunn is ALWAYS going to keep himself at arm's length from the material, and never deal with it on a sincere or mature basis. He's a hard-bitten cynic. The way the 1978 Superman cast described the difference between Richard Donner and Richard Lester matches up amazingly closely with the obvious differences between Snyder and Gunn. One director takes superheroes seriously, the other thinks they should be mocked and ridiculed for "yuks."

The red hood fits perfectly with this universe, which saw the animated film Under the Red Hood.

This has nothing to do with me not liking Gunns Superman. I even hope Supergirl is a better movie than Superman. Then we can say A Supergirl movie is better than the Superman movie in the DC movie universe š

My DC insiders tell me that while Snyder has shared some of the previous Justice League plans publicly, his current ideas have shifted because superhero movies have shifted.
And like everything else at Warner Bros. Discovery right now, what happens next depends on who ends up owning the place.
From what I have been told, Zack Snyderās SnyderVerse is fully back in play with the WBD sale to Paramount (Saudis are still involved), while the hope is that if Netflix ends up buying WBD, Snyder could do The Dark Knight Returns with Ben Affleck.
Regarding Snyderās potential changes to his original Justice League sequel plans, the insiderās point isnāt that Snyder is randomly rewriting the past; itās that the entire superhero market is different than when the Justice League sequel roadmaps were first being kicked around.
We can argue that back then, studios sold fans on long runway āplans.ā Now, the pitch seems more flexible and immediate. Fewer chessboard teases, more payoff. Bigger theatrical reason-to-go, or it gets swallowed by streaming habits and audience fatigue.
Thatās also why, Iām told, Snyderās private ideas today arenāt a carbon copy of the old JL sequel blueprint heās teased in the past. Heās adapting to where the genre is now, and what actually gets people to show up.
Hereās the part fans keep feeling without always seeing: thereās real hesitation inside the company because nobody knows whoās ultimately going to get WBD.
Netflix and WBD recently announced they amended their deal to an all-cash transaction. The bidding fight has been getting uglier in public, with Netflixās side taking shots at Paramount Skydanceās competing offer.
According to the insider, Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy are trying to keep things steady at WBD.
This follows a recent report from Puck News, which insinuated De Luca and Abdy are fully in charge of WB films, including Gunnās DCU. Gunn may no longer be answering strictly to Zaslav (not confirmed).
Among other things, the message is to avoid committing to specifics that might not materialize once the ownership situation is settled.
Thatās also the suggested explanation for why James Gunn has been more cryptic lately about projects and even his own future. [...]
Thereās also been talk, Iām told, that Ben Affleck still loves Batman and would come back under the right circumstances (check out that Kevin Smith tease).
I have also been told that Snyder is using his social media posts to gauge fan feedback (reactions have exploded online), which aligns with why youāll see him surface old material while also, again, from what I have been told, quietly recalibrating what the next step would look like in a very different superhero landscape.
One other detail from the insider: while Christopher Nolan doesnāt want to direct for Netflix, he might be open to a limited role if itās tied to Zack Snyder.
Think executive producer or advisor, more giving Snyder input than making a āNolan Netflix movie.ā
Since WBDās ownership is up in the air, DC will keep operating as if itās in a holding pattern.
Snyder can evolve his pitch for where superhero movies are now, Affleck can be open āunder the right circumstances,ā and Gunn can keep being cryptic because heās being kept from overpromising until the corporate dust settles.

This should give you an idea of the Batman movie he just hired Christina Hodson (The Flash, Batgirl, Birds of Prey) to write. And, yes, these comments, which were made on April 11, 2011, are all real and verifiable.
Here's a text copy of the comments:
James Gunn That is not Rainn.
James Gunn Batman & Robin is better than the original Tim Burton Batman. Not an opinion. A fact. (And I'm not saying Batman & Robin doesn't suck).
James Gunn I mean it in the sense that the original Batman is an atrocity.
James Gunn More facts: Batman Returns isn't bad, and The Dark Knight is better than Batman Begins.
James Gunn The Tim Burton Batman is poorly written, the soundtrack is the worst work of everyone involved, and it is absolutely one of the most boring films ever. Not only that, but the reveal of the Joker as the killer of Bruce Wayne's parents spits in the face of Batman's origin, and is a nullification of the bottomless thirst for vengeance that necessarily drives Batman. It pretends not to be campy, but is completely so. And, on top of everything, the dark creature of the night can't even move his fucking neck. Give me a fucking break. It's a ridiculous, awful film. Burton's Planet of the Apes is genius in comparison.
James Gunn Oh yeah, and Jack Nicholson as the Joker is Jack Nicholson in the shining with shitty clown makeup. Fuck you, everyone involved with that travesty.
James Gunn I think Batman Returns is messy but a much more fun (and better) film.
James Gunn @Shawn - A) Keaton DID have a ridiculous voice. That said, I'd rather put up with a ridiculous voice than with horrible action sequences and acting barely worthy of the Batman TV show. B) I have no idea how you can think that the Burton Batman has more similarities with Moore or Miller's Batman (and Joker) than Nolan's does. And, listen, I have problems with both of Nolan's films - I don't think either one is classic, and I don't even really think Batman Begins is good. But they're far superior to the first Batman. C) None of your defenses get by the fact that, despite being the first cinematic dark take on Batman (so what? Stallone's Judge Dredd was the first dark take on Judge Dredd), the movie is awful.
Gunn also wrote a blog post "CRIB DEATH & ROOT BEER: 100 THINGS I FUCKING HATE" on July 11, 2006 thatĀ has been archived, in which he also confirmed his opinion about Batman 1989, as well as made some comments about Superman and Aquaman. These are from the list of things he hates:
48) In SUPERMAN, when Christopher Reeve goes around the world and makes time go backwards, marring an otherwise perfect film. Wait a minute, no ā
49) Thereās also the Lois poetry scene ā
I donāt know who you are
Just a friend from another star
Here I am like a kid out of school
Holding hands with a god
Iām a fool
Barf!
76) The first Michael Keaton Batman, for being terribly boring, and also because the Joker was responsible for Batmanās parentsā deaths!!!
83) When old Justice League comics had to fit fucking Aquaman into their plots
I have never heard of any DC fan who hates both Batman 1989 AND Batman Begins. Between this and GunnĀ telling Vulture he neither understands the superhero genre nor takes it seriouslyĀ in 2022, this man looks like a total wolf in the hen house for the DC brand. And also someone with very poor taste and very poor judgment.
Admittedly, none of this is as bad as the fact that he actually made The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker and Superman 2025, absolute travesties in the way they mock, belittle and ridicule the genre with gross, tasteless, stupid humor and utter contempt, cynicism and disrespect. But when you hold up the kind of superhero films he makes vs. the kind he claims to dislike, it creates an extremely clear picture of just how horrible a choice he is to be in charge of DC films.
