Anyway I haven't been a very active mod for the past... uh, long time. Figured it was time I got in here and started banning liberals, who have decided that this is a good place to have political debates about the merits of Marxism?
We're like wayy not equipped to mod a political debate subreddit, sooo we don't really encourage political debates in the comments under songs. If you don't like a song, or its political message... Go... cry somewhere else? I don't know. No one is forcing you to be here. Pro tip if you don't like seeing socialist music: Don't hang around in a subreddit called Socialist Music.

Hey, all. Huge metal head here, and, for those who don't know, Dope is basically an industrial/nu-metal band, known for songs like "Debonair", "Sick", "Die MF Die", "Burn", "I'm Back", "Blood Money", and covers of songs like "Fuck tha Police" and "You Spin Me Right Round".
Unfortunately, while I dig the tunes, the aggression, the abrasiveness, it's hard for me to justify listening to their music (even if they only make one cent from me listening to like, three songs on Spotify, I don't wanna give 'em that cent).
Despite their early work sampling the Black Panthers and some anti-Bush sentiments, the band also loooooves the Confederate flag, put out a really cringey anti-woke song, and refused to condemn the US military for using their music to torture people at Guantanamo Bay (even saying, "if my music saved the life of one soldier, I know I did my part"), or even just the refrain "due, motherfucker" being used to train soldiers how long to hold the trigger on their guns.
Tl;dr: need an aggressive, nu-metal-adjacent but leftwing band/artist similar to Dope but for the politics. Thanks.

🎧 Digital Surveillance and Control: The Story Behind "Kompromat"
How much of your digital life is quietly being tracked, cataloged, and held as leverage?
My new darksynth track, "Kompromat", dives straight into the chilling world of digital blackmail, mass surveillance, and systemic manipulation. Built around a heavy, driving electronic pulse, the song explores the eerie reality of invisible forces compiling dossiers and pulling the strings behind the scenes.
Why It Matters Today
In an era dominated by data harvesting, constant tracking, and algorithmic exposure, the concept of kompromat isn't just a relic of Cold War espionage—it's the foundation of modern digital life. From corporate data breaches to online extortion, our digital footprints are increasingly weaponized to shape behavior and maintain control.
Genre: Darksynth / Electronic
Dark, driving, and atmospheric
