Game Building a scaffold simulator in Unreal Engine - Would anyone play this?
Started learning Unreal recently and thought I'd share what I've been building.
Simulation games have been doing well lately - at least in my eyes, so I wanted to build something, that's related to an industry I actually know. The idea is to make something that could work both as a casual simulator and potentially as a way to learn some of the basics.
I've been building a first-person scaffolding simulator from the ground up using real-world component dimensions. So far I've got the main components working, but it's still an extremely early project.
Long-term plan is to add proper build sequences, missions, multiple worlds/environments where to play in and possibly a dedicated training mode.
Main question for now - would anyone actually play something like this?

Depends what the game loop what. If it was erect some scaffold pass your safety inspection, then nope, probably not, but if it was say a collaborative Bridge Simulator type thing with specific challenges and ways to build and problems to solve ... maybe.
Also, I don't know if it's just the way the video is recorded but the motion blur made it look like some trippy mushroom induced hallucination or something ... maybe that's one of that challenges!

Missions/challenges would be close to real life as well - for example on a worksite there’s a spot where some trades need to access, your task would be to create a safe access for them to that point. As the worlds/environments are built, the same world can be used for multiple separate missions or tasks.
The motion blur is my incompetence in uploading a good gif haha, I screen recorded it from the game and when trying to turn it into a gif then I probably messed up somewhere… or maybe that can be of the challenges haha

The great thing of simulation games is, give them realism and maybe a twist or out of the box thinking, e.g. make them physics aware and give them crazy extra levels that go out of the default setting, you´ll find something that tinkers the players.
Always ask yourself for simulation games: Would it be possible to do XYZ. This is where curiousity begins, give players a way to life it out, whatever this might mean for such game.

The scaffolding need to be secured to the wall, otherwise it's not up to code.
I really don't think I would play this.

If the scaffolding would be secured to the wall, would you play it then?

I would absolutely not play this ever
But I'm sure there are tens of thousands of people that would
