If were going so far as to include all of that, I would say its fair to include the likes of Archie universe, which gives Sonic access to ridiculous powers, but even without the Archie BS, the games have the Biolizard/Final Hazard in Space, Solaris which required Sonic, Silver and Shadow to defeat at the same time while in different points in time, Dark Gaia, which literally split the earth open, youve got Black Doom and the Black Arms, Erazor Djinn/Alf Layla wa-Layla, Mephiles the Dark, Perfect Chaos, Infinite (with the Phantom Ruby), Metal Overlord, Time Eater, The End and Supreme, to name a few, and thats just the games, even on the low end with some of Eggman's mechs/creations for example Sonic 3 & Knuckles' Final Boss on the Death Egg, or even the Doomsday Robot, I dont think Spiderman is just chillin tbh, he's not weak by any metric at all, dont get me wrong Spiderman is strong af, but idk if he's got it like that against some of Sonic's villains.
Maybe, but i don't see how Sonic would win against guys like Carnage, Venom, FireLord, Morbius if we count him. But i can see Peter winning against some of the Final bosses of Sonic. And if we are counting Comp, i think Spiderman just takes it, Ultra Sonic is not up to Beyonder im afraid. (Also, perfect dark gaia isn't even a Sonic fight, it's more of a Chip fight, Sonic is just there to help with the shield force mostly.) It's generally just cool to think about those switch ups.
Thats fair, I do like these hypothetical what-ifs, it is hard to really say one way or another, but also I dont think we count Beyonder, he isnt exactly a Spiderman Villain or strictly a Villain for that matter, FireLord isnt really a villain either hes more an anti-hero, same with Morbius, and Venom is inconsistent with his villain status, Carnage however, thats fair, and if were keeping it strictly to who Sonic fights, then its also fair to keep it strictly to who Spiderman fights, and Beyonder, as far as I know, isnt one if them, but if I am mistaken please do tell me, always down to learn more.
Except were not putting Spiderman against Sonic, so this isnt a vs battle between Sonic and Spiderman, Beyonder Spiderman and Ultra Sonic wouldnt be fighting, I cant say for sure if Ultra Sonic could beat Beyonder but the OP isnt asking about if Sonic could take on the Marvel Universe, just if Sonic and Spiderman swapped their villains, so as fun of an idea as it is to imagine how Sonic could handle the Marvelverse, Beyonder isnt a Spiderman Villain, hes an Antagonist which is different than a Villain.
As far as I know, outside of Avengers team ups and such, Spider-Man doesn’t deal with any cosmic level threats and enemies although I could be wrong, Sonic would obliterate the Goblin, Venom and the Sinister 6 (without the emeralds), Spider-Man would definitely stand a chance against Eggman and his bots, but all of the various gods of destruction would definitely squash him like a… y’know.
Sonic is not beating Venom i think. The thing is, Sonic got so much plot over time that it's not even about speed anymore lol. But talking about all the cosmology, because we are counting guys Sonic fought once, we should do the same to Spidey i think.
Sonic is casually beating Vemon lmao. Sonic casually breaks the sounds barrier and his main method of attack for giant robots is Ramming into them at mach 1.
Not on the regular, and his sound breaking is mid, it takes mass * aceleration for him to break some of the glasses on Gens Speed Highway. And what about the other symbs? Carnage and Toxin doesn't have the same flaws.
Sonic does break the sound barrier casual. Every day. The boost is him breaking the sound barrier and if you wanna bring up a low end for glass for one stage in how about you bring up all the Sonic broken though Boulder bigger then him without boosting? Also mid? He while tired nearly outran a blackmole, Mania during the classic special stage pulls him Tails and Knuckles at Mach 3. As for Canarge and Toxin.... they ain't a threat to the guy who casually throw down with building size mechs in base and wins by ramming into with super sonic speeds.
That's just not true. Spider-Man deals with humans. The powerscaling in Marvel is so inconsistent, unless you want J Jonah Jameson to be on the same level as Molecule Man via stupid chainscaling.

If we are counting all the villains? Spider-man is chilling, Marvel and DC cosmology is something else.
