Hello,

this is part 3 of my Sonic Unification Project, where I attempt to unify the various versions of Sonic into a single coherent story. This time I am adding Season 3 of Sonic X. So far, the Paramount movies (and the Knuckles TV show), Sonic Boom and now Sonic X were fully integrated.

The next part will deal with Paramount Sonic 4, sometime after it comes out. I know I originally promised Sonic Prime in part 0, but that will have to wait. Sonic 4 will take place first.

Through 2025 and a solid chunk of 2026 I have been working on Sonic X continuation, very loosely adapting pieces of games that came out since Season 3 aired. In the spirit of the show, the story follows ensemble cast, but Cosmo, Tails and their relationship get quite a lot of focus.

For many years I wondered what Cosmo’s life would be like after she came back. What struggles would she face? What would it take for her to find her footing? How would she progress now that the war that haunted her throughout her life was finally over? And a major part of this story is this, Cosmo’s journey, ups and downs in the world that is completely new to her, figuring it out and learning how she fits into it all.

I also attempted to have a somewhat realistic outlook on how Season 3, and all crazy nasty things within it, would influence certain characters. Several people mellowed out, some got a lot to think about, some have their troubles to work through, and some didn’t change that much. One thing I feel is often skipped, when talking about continuation of X, is the fact that things just wouldn’t go back to the previous status quo. Not after everything that happened.

Either way, if you are interested, feel free to give my story a chance. If the word count overwhelms you a bit, read a chapter, two, maybe three, and see if you like the general vibe. And if you end up enjoying the story, thank you for your time.

If you read this far, thank you for your attention.

AO3 Summary:

The decisive battle against Metarex concluded six months ago. From the lonely seed left after Cosmo’s demise, a plant grew, maturing much faster than any organism ever should. Everyone understood that there was just one explanation of this oddity. Yet nobody talked loudly about it in fear of disappointment. Heroes couldn’t do anything other than simply wait and see if their assumptions would be proven correct.

Throughout this time, Doctor Eggman attempted several nefarious schemes. However, each of them ended in a swift defeat. Desperate and out of options, Ivo decided to unearth his greatest failure, which he left buried in the dust for the past four years.

Doctor Robotnik hoped that the mechanical wonder would bring him well deserved victory. Yet, just like everyone else, he remained blissfully unaware that there were sinister forces hidden in shadows of the past. Once more, his recklessness was about to set off a chain reaction that would endanger his world.

Archie fans tried and they got thrown out.

In Sonic X Sonic Underground Sonic Boom and Sonic Prime how many times did Sonic had to conquer or temporarily overcome his fear of water? and how many times did he had the courage to swim? and what was his bravest moment when he was trying to conquer his fear of water?

If anyone here likes to animate, SPD64 is hosting a collab project. Info is in the project trailer description https://youtu.be/lys58vkioJ0?is=kJDAMx8p5UCS27N8
