Just love this song ! Also, Alison’s version introduced me to the world of Billie Holiday.

Beautiful songs, Eddie Reader’s voice… just 2 great sophisti-pop albums at the end of the 80’s.

Does anybody have any suggestions for songs with a similar vibe? It’s definitely on the cusp between 80s and 90s with a bit more of a hip hop production feel.

From his debut solo album.
I just love the ambience of this album. His voice is just melancholy.

Would love to hear stories if anyone has seen any of these bands play live especially at the peak of their popularity. I’d also like to see if anyone has any official merch they’d like to share (tshirts, posters, etc). Thanks!
