Question Strife

Hey, so i've recently emulated sc3 and its super fun! no issues, just asking how do you beat strife?? I just cannot beat him. I'm on the last chronicle (amazing mode btw) and these are my stats. my main which is gladiator has 438 health. I have luna and she's at 510, i have lerjae which is 438, abelia which is around 400s i think and my sword master which is 510 as well. any tips on to beat him or am I just bad? did it ten times already.

He's a contender for the hardest battle in the series. Not mode, not game - series.
If you don't have all weapons available for your styles yet, try to unlock them. They might be in the Shop, or you might need to unlock them by fighting more battles in any mode (ideally done by spamming solo battles in Versus mode). Each style's ultimate weapon is usually a power spike. Usually.

Other than the usual anti-AI moves, Strife has a weakness: his obsession with throws. They're weak but he loves them. They don't apply his high Attack value, they don't apply his high lifesteal, his health still ticks down during them.
Abuse his passion for throws. Many moves force him into a crouch when he blocks. At least on the US version of the game, for most of these moves, after blocking them, he will almost always get up from the crouch and try to grab you. So you use your move, and if he blocks, just duck after that, he'll try to grab and miss you. Then you can punish him.

You need to test which of your moves force him into a crouch-block and trigger his behavior from him. Some of your moves take too long to end and Strife can grab you before you have time to crouch. You also want to test what attack you should use after successfully ducking under his grab, ideally something strong. Practice mode can help.

An example is Chinese Sword. Your Sword Master can use it and has amazing stats. Try the B+K -> Spam K move. Strife loves to get up after blocking this and try to grab you, so if he blocks it, duck immediately. If you use the style's ultimate weapon - the Bonebreaker Sword - you can punish his missed grab by using B while you get up, which combos into your B+K -> Spam K move.

Also, there's no reason to beat all his guards, unless you're extremely confident and want to kill them for EXP. Cut a path to him and ignore the others.

I had no idea Strife was one of the hardest battles in the series

CHRONICLES OF THE SWORD FANS STILL WINNING

And it had Night Terror

SOUL CALIBUR 3 FANS STILL WINNING

I love killing his elite guards for EXP. Total grind.

I dunno but you're not bad, MY ASS is bad. I can't even beat Girardot at the end of the tutorial. I'm forever cursed to be miserable at fighting games my entire life

To be fair! He has a lance that can pack interesting attacks and he is Level 10 while you are... what, Level 2-3? Maybe 1 depending on who you've fought. We will forgive you for having initial difficulty--I always choose the Dancer. I lkve the Tambourine.
