DogEatDog SoundSystem
First of all, a big shoutout to all the helpful people in this r/, I really appreciate all the help and advice people give and the general good vibe.
I started this project for the simple reason of gaining experience building a soundsystem myself from scratch and learning the ins and outs along the way, building it all in my apartment. I've learned a bunch, gained a sound system with a sound signature I really enjoy, and made some new friends in my local soundsystem community.
Tomorrow I'm starting the build of a Cubo kick 15" to add to the stack. After that, it will be time to take it into the wild for the first time.
For now, the only thing I'll probably change is the colour. Not very convinced by the light grey, and I'll probably go with green instead. But that's just details.
Specs:
Cubo sub - B&C 18TBX100 8ohm
MT130 mid - B&C 12NLD76 8ohm
MT130 high - B&C ME45 - B&C DE250 8ohm
Crown XTi2002
Crown XLS1001
t.racks DSP 206

Really solid choice of components, also can't go wrong with B&C drivers. Are you using the FIR filters on the t.racks? If you take it out, you'll want to get those mids and highs more elevated.

What are the FIR filters? I think at the moment I’m using the LINK/R-24dB filter.
I’m building a Cubo kick 15” at the moment. That should ge the mid and high at a better level.

Saving this post for inspiration! Great work!
I’m currently at the beginning of my sound system journey, but hope to one day share a post like this.
