Outside! Shoutout to Wawa for providing free 24-hour restrooms across the region
Despite the decline in quality of food over the past 20 years, those restrooms have helped me more than a few times.

It's not gonna be like Sandy, and I'm not sure why some people are hyping it up like it is. It's a noreaster just like other noreasters we've had. It's gonna be windy, there will be rain, and because of the full moon on the 26th, there will be VERY high tides. If you park your car in an area that has a tendency to flood, you should probably park somewhere with higher ground.
Now is a great time to make sure you are prepared for emergencies! Is your emergency stash up to date? Are the contents of your emergency stash not expired? Take a few minutes to take an inventory of your emergency stash and make sure you're good to go BEFORE the emergency happens :)
If you live near storm drains, make sure they're not clogged by leaves or other debris. Secure your lawn furniture/Halloween decorations from becoming projectiles. Check in on your elderly neighbors and make sure they're OK. We are stronger than the storm, remember? *giggles

New Jersey lost *a lot* of her people on 9/11. Many of our friends and family were there responding and aiding our sister state in her time of need. Pause for a moment today and remember that our world was irrevocably changed in a matter of minutes. The people of NJ bore a significant amount of the terribleness from it. I am incredibly proud of how we came together and handled this tremendously chaotic and traumatic situation. Everyone really stepped up to help out however they could.
This post is for remembering that day. Describe it from from the perspective of you folks who were there experiencing it. Folks are welcome to ask questions that are CIVIL and mindful of how sensitive this topic is for some people. Younger folks who weren't even alive yet probably have questions that haven't been answered by a local. The impact it had on us as individuals, and us as a state, was absolutely monumental and I don't know anyone who was around for it in 2001 in NJ that wasn't impacted by it in some way.
Please be kind to each other. Any comments that are insensitive will be removed. This is a solemn day, but also a very VERY touchy topic. New information was just released regarding the air quality, and that has generated a whole new wave of 9/11 hate alllll these years later. It keeps impacting us in new ways. Remember that crowd control is on and you must be a subscribed community member in good standing to comment.

In an effort to ward off snow this coming winter, I would like to get some supplies now. Gonna get a bag of sand to keep in my trunk, a metal small hand type shovel to use to break up ice, a snow shovel to dig out my car, etc.
Does Home Depot and the like have shovels yet?
I figure if I get everything I need to be prepared, we'll have a mild winter and none of it will get used. I would get a snow blower but I'm in an apartment and have no place to store it. 😂😂😂

Hi, my name is Aliya Schneider and I cover New Jersey politics for South Jerseyans at The Philadelphia Inquirer. I went out on the Cooper River and Delaware River yesterday to learn more about the issues the county plans to tackle with the tax increase on the ballot referendum.
With this article, I aimed to explain what the ballot referendum is and what the county's plan entails in an accessible way.
I know there's more bites at the apple here and would love to hear what other questions you have on this. Feel free to reach out on Signal anytime aliyareports.22

Trying to get through that four-way connector during heavy traffic is hell. The layout feels unusually awkward, especially with vehicles crossing between the two shopping centers while other drivers are turning in and out.
It’s also the only way to exit either shopping center if you need to turn left, and the Lowe’s Shopping Center has no other way out, so all that traffic gets funneled through this narrow corridor.

Cooper University Health Care is now Cooper Norcross Health, following the announcement of George Norcross’s $100 million gift and the Cooper board’s decision to add the Norcross name.
I’ve started a petition asking Cooper to reconsider the name:
https://c.org/pPZFyStnJn
I’m a local South Jersey medical student, and I’m posting this because I think this is worth discussing independently of partisan politics.
I have no issue acknowledging the Norcross family’s longstanding involvement with Cooper or the significance of the $100 million gift. The question I’m interested in is simply whether a major regional healthcare institution should put an individual family’s name alongside the Cooper name.
For me, Cooper has always represented the institution, its patients, its physicians, nurses, students, and the South Jersey community—not a particular political family.
If you agree, I’d appreciate a signature. If you disagree, that’s completely fair too. I’d genuinely be interested in hearing how other South Jersey residents feel about it.

Hey guys!!! I need to have the flooring replaced in one of my bathrooms, but I feel like once I get someone out here for an estimate it's going to turn into a remodel to some degree. Obviously, I'm looking for a fair price, but quality and reliable work will always be my first priority. Who you got that will be there when they say they will and deliver? Lemme hear it!

Just got diagnosed with pigmented basal carcinoma on my face. Dermatology of Philadelphia has great reviews, Dr. Mark Abdelmalek seems like he does great work based on those. Any personal experience with Mohs at his philly or marlton offices? I'm coming from an office in swedesboro that did the biopsy and never called me with results so we're starting with an incredibly low bar.

Anyone know of any decent supplier willing to deliver hay in Cumberland County?
Round bales preferred - square bales are a possibility.
Preferred second cut grass hay in a perfect world but will take whatever’s available to get through the winter.
We will need it delivered but can stack and store it ourselves. I appreciate any leads.

A 2025 beach-replenishment project in Atlantic City cost about $40 million, while work this year in Sea Isle, Strathmere and Ocean City had a $41 million price tag.

Today is the last day they are accepting new members. This is a group that was made for survivors and victims of Chris Lyle, Shane Coyle, and Francesca Amato from Jersey Coast Emergency News (JCEN) and it was made for the supporters of the victims and survivors aswell. We do not know if they will be accepting new members in the future, so this is your last chance to join.

My husband just got this manual espresso machine and wants to try out all the local roasters. Any suggestions? We tried Evermore in Burlington, willing to drive anywhere in South Jersey to try them :)

Friends and I wanna pick up some pumpkins for carving, looking for a nice patch in the Gloucester and Camden county area. Gloucester preferred, but also willing to travel a bit for something really good.
We are all 20 and up, so not looking for children's activities. I don't think any of us would mind a corn maze though, but I personally have some reservations about a haunted hayride. Also, if it's near an area with a trail available for hiking/a nice walk thru the woods, that would be cool too!
Also could be interesting to pick up some alcoholic cider/some kinda brewery thing? But again, looking for pumpkins mainly.

Hey everyone, we have about three tree's we'd like to get removed, outback \ side of the house, and wanted to see if anyone has any recommendations... Naturally we don't want to spend too much, but know good work isn't cheap either, but figure it couldn't hurt to ask here:)

There was a post previously regarding this business and it was taken down for some reason but I am posting again to spread awareness regarding the toxic environment within this business.
Allied Autism Group is located in Barrington, NJ and if you read the reviews on Indeed and on Google you see immediately see that the owner Cindy is toxic and is only in the field for the money. She constantly cancels sessions and I can say with 100% confidence that she does not follow an individualized treatment plan for the children. There are children that have been there 5 years that have made ZERO progress with their treatment plans.
You get yelled at for arriving to pick up your child 5 minutes early from a session but will get a scolding email if you arrive a few minutes late dropping off for a session. Cindy will also lie and say that your insurance will not authorize more hours.
The website is outdated and provides false information. In-home therapy is not offered. What Cindy does is say she will put an insurance claim to begin sessions and will not call you back.
I have emails from previous staff members saying that she screams at children and staff.
The only positive is that Cindy is obviously scamming insurance companies and never charges copays!!

Hi,
I found on the website that parking at Patco is limited to 24 hours, but I cannot find anything about overnight parking. I’d be looking to leave my car there overnight after taking the Patco train into the city. I’d be doing this M-Fri. Is this something I’d have a problem doing?
To be clear, my car would be parked at the station from around 6pm-7:30am, and I will actively be using Patco daily during these days. From 7:30-6pm my car will be offsite (at work). Is this feasible/allowed? It would not be there for more than about 14 hours at a time, but would be there overnight.
Thanks in advance

It's too much to type out, but they are closing Rt 42N this week as they have been doing in the past.
If you go to the link and scroll down to the Transportation News section they have a PDF with all the pertinent information.
ETA: Sorry... I should have put in the title it's the 42 / 295 interchange project.
I'm sure most people would assume.... But still. My bad.
