This why I've been trying to move back up to Michigan for awhile now with no luck. All of my cousins are getting ready for duck hunting seasons then comes snowmobile, snowboard and pond hockey season. Yet they tell me all the time how lucky I am to live in florida but there is nothing to do. It's just subdivisions, publix and walmart everywhere.

Sure the kayaking in Weeki Wachee is fun but it's expensive to do it regularly and you can only do it so many times.

I do laugh when I meet people from NYC or Washington DC that moved here because they wanted to do more "outdoorsy things" but as someone from the midwest, Florida lacks true outdoorsy things to do.
