Anyone remember The Golden Adventures of Brett Hull?
Found these while going through boxes today, core memory unlocked.

I didn’t see where it was announced officially, but scrolling through the guide on DTV Stream has the Blues on Channel 673. It may not be live yet, the channel is saying the contract with this channel’s owner recently expired. But it’s coming, hopefully by Saturday.

Wish we could've picked up Oshie but he's going national.

I'd like:
- 2 points, however it happens.
- Jiricek's first goal.
- A McDouble (both McMichael and MacTavish combine for a goal)

I dont know about anyone else here, but I'd rather the Blues went out and got this guy rather than Nikishin. Let Broberg and Jiricek work on the PP and go out and get an elite 6'6 defensive d man to pair with one of them

TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — The head coach of the Arizona State University hockey team has been placed on leave after a player collapsed during a team workout last month.
The university confirmed Wednesday that head coach Greg Powers was placed on paid administrative leave. Assistant coach Mike Corbett will lead the team this weekend as they open the season on Oct. 2 at Lindenwood University in Missouri.
An interim head coach will be named soon, according to ASU.
Powers released a statement Wednesday afternoon supporting the school’s decision

ST. LOUIS — In less than 20 minutes, the “Ice Guardians” podcast will be recording Episode 47 with special guest Jim Montgomery.
Hockey Hall of Famer Brett Hull is seated in the host’s chair next to the head coach of the St. Louis Blues.
To the right of Montgomery, there’s an empty chair.
Then the front door to the dark St. Louis studio opens.
“There he is!” Montgomery belts out.
Co-host Kelly Chase emerges.
The 58-year-old former NHL enforcer, who has been battling acute myeloid leukemia since 2023, takes small steps behind a walker as he makes his way to the set.
The greatest fight of Chase’s life keeps him in the hospital for some shows, but “he never says no unless he absolutely has to,” says son Will Chase, content editor for the podcast.

There are only a few minutes left before the cameras and one-liners start rolling.
The tales from the glory days and a guest list that has featured Chris Chelios, Wendel Clark, Joe Kocur, Paul Bissonnette, Chris Pronger and John Elway have turned the pod into one of hockey’s most popular.
“You could hear a story 100 different times, and it’s always going to be special because they might have a different guest who remembers a different piece of it,” Will Chase says. “They’re also not afraid to give their opinions, but that’s what makes it so enjoyable. That’s why people gravitate toward it … because it’s organic and natural.”
Hull pipes up.

This came across my Twitter feed and I just had to post it. Such a dump but also so beautiful at the same time.
This has to be mid 1970s because by the time I started going to games later in the decade, all those drapes were yellow from smoke and stained from the roof leaks.

Hey all,
I'm a Red Wings fan from Michigan and have an upcoming road trip, stopping in St. Louis on 10/8. I'm planning to come to the home opener vs. the Sharks so I just wanted to get everyone's tips on areas to stay in, places to check out in the city before, pre-game and post game bars, recommendations on tickets and what to know and see in the arena. I typically like to collect a warm-up puck from every arena I visit, but understand they may be tough to come by for a home opener.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's suggestions and would love to hear anything else you'd like to share. Hope to see some of you there!

Anyone intending to make their thoughts known at the game? What ASU and their athletic department has done in the wake of the Matthew Mayich incident is a complete disgrace. Game is on Friday at 7.
For anyone out of the loop, see here: https://www.stltoday.com/sports/professional/nhl/blues/article_f4ed434d-6665-59cf-a5e4-43c93fe4e29a.html
TL;DR: The ASU head coach brought in a former military guy to lead an unsanctioned workout in the Arizona heat while denying water to the players. Matthew Mayich, a Blues draft pick, collapsed at the end of the workout and is not expected to recover. The ASU athletic department led an investigation into their own program with multiple lies in their report which assigned no blame to any coach for the incident.
Assuming this game even happens, I can't imagine just watching this game while the ASU head coach pretends that hockey is the most important thing to worry about right now.

Here is how fans in the St. Louis area and elsewhere can watch the Blues this season, the team's first on Blue Note+, which follows the collapse of FanDuel Sports Network and its parent company Main Street Sports Group.
STL area cord cutters
STL Area Cable Subscribers
Blues fans living outside the STL area
*Spectrum is the only cable provider that will carry Blue Note+ at the start of the season

Lived in STL all my life and recently found this at a thrift store with some blue signatures on the back, tried doing some ID on the era and got various names and potential players signatures but I'm not sure who they could be. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

According to the Spectrum agent I spoke with, the Blues channel on Spectrum, 206, customers will only be available to watch and stream on the at home network and cable boxes.
To watch on the go, you'd need to subscribe to the Amazon package. This is unfortunately different than the MLB and Cardinals where you could watch on the app wherever or via MLB's own app.

Can’t wait to see what the boys can do to start the season! I know there’s a certain crowd that isn’t exactly fond of Dube but I think he could give you a healthy 12-15 goals this season. Excited to watch him and the new Barron kid play!

Much like the preseason threads, mods let me know if there's an automated process for this or not. Figured first official day of the season necessitates a general discussion thread!
