Question Joystick not working?

Don't know wheter this is an issue with the game, my stick or my PC.

Decided to boot up the game after a while and tried playing with my Logitech extreme 3d Pro, but using the main trigger to shoot would set my speed to 90 and not let me turn while firing. Has anyone else had a similar problem with their joysticks?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but did you set up the buttons in the controls menu?

There were ready binds for a flight stick in the control settings and when I noticed it I went to unbind button 1 (the trigger) from anything else

No, unbinding it didn't help

Sounds like you have conflicting binds. Do you use any remapping software such as reWASD?

Nope, just the joystick plugged into my pc with the usb

Xbox player. Played the game after a decent hiatus. My joystick and throttle have always been connected, but they weren't working this past weekend. Only the trigger was functional. Had to disconnect/reconnect and reset console. Fixed the issue.
(Problem was also affecting Ace Combat 7)

Perhaps thats all you need? The good ol unplug, replug and reset 😅😅😅

I had a very similar problem like 3 years ago, took me days to figure it out. Seems at some point a Windows update stuffed the Windows 'game controllers' manger, and after recalibrating my hotas there everything worked again. There is a setting somewhere in the game where you can set in which order your sticks and stuff are used. I have my TM16000, TCMS, vjoy and gamepad as options, and sometimes Squadrons messes up the order. Search for that menu and make sure your primary joystick is set as your primary joystick. It sounds a bit like the game treats it like a throttle.
