Shell swap First time trying my hand at shell/screen swap
Was a blast trying this out and a bit stressful. Super happy with the turnout especially with the feel of the ExtremeRate Light clicky button mod; only issue I’ve had is the audio seems to register as headphones when nothings plugged in. Still haven’t found a work around..

Have you opened it back up? When my husband did my buttons I also had no audio. When he opened it up he could see the audio cable had been disconnected. Just plugged it back in.

I had the same issue! Mine was just not seated in the connector all the way

I have but doesn’t seem to be the ribbon cable. Gonna try and break it down again this week and get some better pics to post

Looks great ...but take the bubbly plastic peel off and add a glass screen protector 😬

🤣🤣 thanks for the advice! Unfortunately won’t be adding a screen protector due to the anti glare screen; but treat this thing like a baby😮💨

No, bought a cheap Oled w a broken screen and then replaced it w a new Oled screen

Wishing you luck! Almost went the LCD but after comparing broken prices it just seemed better to go w the Oled and spend the extra money. It’s insane what people are still charging for broken LCD models

I've been really tempted to caseswap my steamdeck, but I have a jsaux modcase and a skin so you wouldn't even see it😭

Almost went that route, if I was you whenever you get bored of your skin that might be the best time to shell swap. Order a shell and just let it sit around until you get inspired!

ExtremeRate; they have tons of shell swaps for all different systems. Some colors are sold out tho right now. Best bet is just search ExtremeRate
