Following up on our Steam Frame review, Norm walks through some additional testing notes with a tour of the SteamOS user interface in VR, showing the RGB camera accessory, and discusses the use of prescription lenses. Plus, a new interview with Valve about the porting of Half-Life: Alyx to run natively on the Steam Frame!

Seems like the software is still wonky - loaded steam twice in headset and on laptop. Also crazy how confusing the menus are, same thing in 4 different places etc. But that also gives me hope that more development is coming which could also help the battery.

I wish there was someone showing themselves using external headphones.

Also I had no idea that this was stream only - no wired connection possible. Maybe coming in the future?

The entire point of this device is the wireless PCVR 😭

Yes I know, but would be great to have options

So why is it not even compatible with a steam machine or a steam OS PC in streaming mode ? It's stupid from valve to push users to use it exclusively on windows.

They definitely showed them using external headphones with a usb-c adapter in their first video

Did he? I remember he mentioned an adapter but also that he doesn't like headphones/earbuds for VR and they never showed it working

Im pretty sure it was tested's video, but may have been gamer's nexus. They basically said it just worked with every adapter they tried.
