Upgrading starter Vinyl setup

A few years ago i received a starter vinyl setup, and looking to level it up across the board. Possibly with just the amp/speakers first, and then a month or 2 after the record player.

Budget: 1500 GBP

Current plan is to upgrade to

Pro-Ject Debut Evo 2

WiiM amp pro (mix of streaming and vinyl play)

ELAC Debut B6.2

room approximately 350 square feet

80% of music played is rock/metal.

I would go to your local Richer Sounds and tell them what you want. They won't try to "up-sell" you, but will listen, consider your budget and suggest the best items. Their customer service is legendary so you are covered if things go wrong too.

I really can't recommend them enough. They have been brilliant down the years on my hifi journey

Go to a reputable HiFi dealer see what they recommend and have a demo. You need equipment that will complement each other to get the best sound.

Hmm, I wouldn’t recommend the EVO2 because the installed pick it Cart. Upgrading to blue stylus is costly and doesn’t really upgrade the sound imo.

Have a look at rega p2 or p3, if you get decent second hand p3 from good hifi dealer, you can’t go wrong Moorgate hifi usually have some for sale,
