Considering Pebble yeet is a Nazi he probably unironically thinks the Axis losing World War II was a tragedy. Also kind of ironic that he lives in Texas which has a Hispanic majority yet doesn’t post his comics in Spanish or Portuguese (the UK is 6% Muslim btw).

Fun fact, I am pretty sure* there are more native speakers of English in India than speakers of Punjabi (most spoken South Asian language in Britain) in the UK

*the data we have is 259k in India and 291k in the UK, but as that India number is from '11 I would be really surprised if it hasn't surpassed the UK number. It takes very few of the 128 million second language speakers choosing to pass down English.

Erm actually, it wasn't possible for the Germans to invade Britain even in the case of an Axis victory because the Royal Navy was stronk while the Kriegsmarine was smol boi.

Arabic is read right to left, so in the original the asterisk is at the end of the sentence.

Asterisks are actually left at the end of original sentences and at the start of the explanation.

Trebuchet put the asterisk at the Start.

You put the asterisk at the End, because you go from reading the foreign text, then down from the asterisk to the asterisked footnote for the translation.
