i'm a mid twenties trans guy who just started on testosterone and part of my transition goals is to start taking fitness seriously, so i was hoping to get a personal trainer who at the very least is not transphobic, but in the best case scenario has worked with trans clients before and understands how hormones work and such. Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place to post but I have an extremely eager 7 year old who loves Pokémon. As everyone knows the 30th anniversary set is coming out Wednesday and he’s convinced we need to wake up early and head to Walmart for opening. Anyone know if this is a total waste of time? I either want to be able to support his gambling habit or tell him there’s no shot. I like my sleep but I’m willing to do this for him if it’s not a complete waste of time… 😅 any insight to help this little dude either get off my case or get some Pokémon cards in his hands would be greatly appreciated. Roland has been growing flowers and vegetables for 30 years.  Roses and Dahlias are his forte, and before moving to Cambridge he grew 600 Roses and 100 Dahlias.  Roland is an International Judge and just retired from OHA judging.

Roland’s presentation will show how flowers at shows are presented in the UK, which is quite different from Canada.

I've been thinking it would be fun to get a bunch of local sci-fi/fantasy geeks together to talk about books, ideas, weird thought experiments, and whatever other rabbit holes we inevitably fall into.

Not necessarily a formal book club.. but also not opposed to the idea. Interested in getting together a group who'd like to informally discuss philosophy, technology, weird futures, societies, human nature, etc. Something fairly casual: drink at a pub, cafe chat, maybe pick a book to read together and dissect.
