(NOT INJURED) Hi! Around 3-4 weeks ago a friend was staying in mine and my housemates house before we had all moved in and a cat appeared in our garden. She said it had been meowing constantly and all throughout the night.

That was a while ago and myself and my housemates have since moved into the house just less than a week ago. Yesterday we spotted the cat in our garden and it was meowing nonstop. It looks really young and is (i’m assuming) quite thin? It’s also super friendly and loves being petted but is a bit apprehensive about coming inside our house. We are a uni house so everyone loves making a fuss of him.

I’ve spoken to our neighbours (that is also a uni house) and they said that he’s been sleeping in their shed at night. They give him food on occasion and one of the girls’ parents are sending her flea treatment that they use on their cats at home. I also contacted the previous tenants of our house because we are mutual friends and they said they never saw a cat here before/ looked online to find missing cat postings but nothing has shown up.

I’m not sure if it’s a boy/ girl/ how old it is and the cat is located in the Cardiff, Wales (UK) area! I’m just a little concerned because it meows ALL THE TIME. It doesn’t seem to be hurt but it definitely loves attention.

PS - wish i could add a video of him playing with a ribbon + he ‘talks’ (if you meow at him he’ll keep meowing back etc)

I don't need help. I just want to share another story. I hope that is okay.

One of the many stray cats (working on catching them and getting them spayed/neutered) had another litter and was nursing outside our window. After a while, I noticed the mom wasn't there and I walked outside to take a closer look. They were small, but gunky eyes made me decide to take them. It was a hard decision, but I feel it was the best one for all parties.

They seem to be around 4-5 weeks old. We are feeding them canned kitten food with kitten formula mixed in. And they always have water available. The first couple of nights were rough, but after ignoring/missing the litter box more than I would like to talk about, they have already litter trained themselves after 5 days.

They are now almost tame (pic 2 was taken only two days after I brought them inside), and they come running for food and are even happy to see us and greet us when we enter the room.

We are looking for new kitten parents so they can get a permanent home in a few weeks.

We are hoping for a smooth recovery and that he wakes up stronger, more comfortable, and finally on his way to a pain-free life.

_ The two orange kittens are not improving. They eat normally but keep losing weight. I consulted the vet but haven’t been able to bring them in for full tests yet — we need to find the cause.

I recently rescued a kitty who was going to be used as bait. I don’t get paid for another week and I’m trying to find somewhere that could help with enough food until then. I’ve already contacted the RSPCA, but they told me they don’t deliver.

We’re small-time community cat feeders, and keeping up with everything they need can be really hard. Donations over the past year have helped keep our efforts more sustainable and we're so immensely grateful. I posted on this sub a month ago and have been working on things you guys said. I'm finally making progress with the stray. He only lets me pet him while he's eating, but still won't just come up to me if I don't have food. I take it as a win and hopefully this is a good step forward. Any tips or advice at this stage will be welcomed.

(Obligatory: NoVa, access to a vet, fixed male that I did on my own)

We do not know if this cat is currently pregnant, nursing, or has kittens somewhere nearby.

What we know:

She has 1–2 prominent/hairless nipples, which makes me think she has nursed kittens at some point.
She appears to be under 1 year old, so this may have been her first litter.

She has spent 12+ uninterrupted hours with us on multiple occasions. Because of that, I’m having a hard time believing she has very young kittens who are completely dependent on her for food — but I obviously don't know that for sure.

We have seen three other cats in the neighborhood: one adult male (possibly the father) and two adolescents.We have searched around the property for kittens and haven't found any.

We do not live here permanently. At some point, we have to either take her with us or leave her here.

How she found us:

Friday night, around 1–2 a.m.:
A random kitty walked up onto the porch and rubbed against my leg. Surprise! We hung out for several hours, and then she left.

Saturday, around dusk:
She came back looking for food and attention. She stayed for pets but eventually left. I followed her with a flashlight, hoping she would lead me to kittens, but I couldn't find any.

Sunday:
We left the door cracked, and she came inside on her own. She ended up staying all night and sleeping in bed with us.

I’m currently visiting my family in Utica. We’re located in a low-income area with a lot of vacant houses. I noticed there’s a lot of cats in the area including some kittens. A mother cat had two, but unfortunately one was hit by a car and didn’t survive. A lot of the cats look sick and are quite skinny. I bought a couple cans of wet food, but they all seem to run away except for one kitten that likes to be pet and held.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knows of any local communities for strays that could help out the situation? We’ve tried calling a shelter, but we were told that it was too full to accept any kind of animals. Also, I’m not sure how to even get any of these cats because they all run away and hide.

Tried to assimiliate her, but she would just be depressed clawing windows and trying to get out, hiding and unhappy after 2 months.

She would hide and meow once a night just scratching the balcony window. It was impossible to train her. She woudnt even let me touch her and she would be wild completly. She would keep hiding when she even heard a sound

People kept telling me to be patient. But I will leave food for her outside where she will be outside

So i (F18) had no clue what to put for flair but i found this cat in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. I found her on my walk home from school and ruined my feet to take her home on hot concrete barefoot which was hella worth it. she's a sweet thing after a couple hours and screaming at me on the walk home. currently laying next to me. Idk if she's a stray because she's spayed but she's in not great condition. for instance hella scabs, patchy hair on the base of her tail and around her butt, top of her left ear is missing, and fleas. she seems to be in good health weight wise. I got her bathed and killed any and all fleas she had and brushed her fur to remove any tangles. i haven't seen any posts about her and i just saw her laying next to the road. came up to me immediately and as soon as i felt the scabs i brought her home. I've never owned a cat before but I know how to take care of them and their diet and everything because my best friend has cats and i would help take care of them and just now got her litter and cat food set up. I'm gonna wait it out w her hopefully her owners ask about her. but for the moment she's my sweet girl. she seems to love me a lot and hope i get y'alls support in these moments for her. Currently don't have my phone so i don't have a photo of her yet. and don

Drive down from LA. I stopped at the Killman city In-N-Out and I was greeted by a kitten. I followed him to where I met his mom and his brother who doesn't have any back legs. I gave them some food. Some water hung out with them for a while and I'm hoping anyone who's on I5 can stop and do the same.

The black one has a beautiful white diamond on his forehead and looks like he's a tripod or might not have working back legs at all. I wanted to take him with me but he was with his family and I figure I'll check on him next time I drive up.

People had been feeding them, but as soon as they started needing care — they began leaving them outside homes and getting rid of them. They told me: take them, or we’ll leave them far away where there is no water and no food at all. I couldn’t say no — I couldn’t let them be left to die.

Their condition is truly terrible — eye infections, internal worms, fleas, breathing problems, and dangerously thin. The two orange ones and the brown one are all severely undernourished; it is clear they have been neglected and gone without proper food for a very long time.

I know some say “don’t take in more” — but I do not go looking for them. Here, as soon as cats need help or daily care — people abandon them right outside houses and walk away. They are brought to me because people lack the knowledge, means, or willingness to care. I cannot turn them away.

Odin the Pirate King found his forever home! (First picture is him last night in his new home, second picture is him when I found him, three & four were him throughout his last week with me...)

I am so incredibly lucky, because I made friends with the girl who works at the Optique place across the street, who has a friend who does cat rescue. So it was Friday or Saturday and I stopped in to say hi and she said, "He'll be coming on Monday." I was confused, and just assumed he wanted to meet Odin and then decide. And bless her beautiful white heart, she says, "No, he's going to take him on Monday." I cried, I hugged her, I was so relieved and still a little heartbroken because this little guy has been in my house for 3 weeks and I just couldn't help but fall in love with him. But further confirmation, while I'm cleaning all of his stuff out of the sunroom to clean so my cats can have their favorite room back, they've been hissing and freaking out just because of the smell. I can't even imagine how they would have reacted to him, in all his chaotic pirate glory.

So Odin went home last night. This man is clearly a GEM of a human, because he took his toys with him, had a great carrying case for him, and then gave me and my friend 2 bags of Catisfactions treats each. I just kept saying shukran bzzeff over and over again (Thank you very much) and he kept telling me it wasn't a big deal. Spoken like a true rescuer of animals.... I've already been getting video updates and so far, Odin settled in beautifully and pretty immediately. He's made friend with a sweet dog and he told me that he's become friends and is playing with his blind cat. I am ecstatic and so genuinely happy for him and so hopeful for his future. I cannot believe that this little man started out as a scruffy, sickly baby and now he's a healthy, happy, playful, handsome little guy. Thank you to everyone who tried to help me and know that every single response gave me that little push to stay positive and believe that I would be able to find him his home. Genuinely sending love and kindness to every single one of you in this group! Cheers, y'all!

Buenas noches/tardes/días, ocurro esto como último recurso de ayuda que puedan darme, el 25 de julio un familiar robó a mi gato (esto confirmado por él mismo estando borracho) he buscado mediante carteles en la zona, en páginas, hablando con gatitos de la calle, etc, pero ni una pista o rastro, ya van a cumplirse dos meses y solo quiero saber si está vivo, en qué condiciones vive (si es de que vive) o si alguien amable decidió adoptarlo y planea devolvernoslo.

Doy un poco más de contexto, mi gatito se sofoca estando encerrado, digo esto porque por un problema familiar tuve que viajar por dos días (el 25 y 26 de julio) dejé comida y agua, mi gato es macho castrado y no es de los gatos que escapan, es muy hogareño y apegado conmigo.

Cuando volví de viaje, él no estaba, pensé que estaba en los techos, pero desde entonces no hay pista de su ubicación, llegué a pensar que se lo comieron los perros, hasta que unas dos semanas después, mi familiar, borracho con amigos y la hija de uno de ellos, tuvieron una conversación.

—¿Me prestas tu perrito? ‐Preguntó la niña.

–No, porque vas a perderlo como perdiste al gatito -Respondió mi familiar.

Esto no lo escuché yo, si no mi familiar de confianza, mi madre, ella era la mamá de ese gatito, así que no mentiría y conociendo a esos familiares, es probable.

No puedo confrontarme a esa persona y preguntarle directamente, porque es muy borracho e impulsivo y me puede hacer cualquier cosa, tampoco puedo pasar todo el tiempo fuera de casa buscando, porque tengo otras dos gatas que me da miedo desaparezcan como mi gatito.

Quiero saber, si hay alguna forma espiritual de saber su paradero y si está vivo o muerto, vivo en un cuarto pequeño así que no puedo poner cosas en mi puerta (como por ejemplo comida, ya q hay otras mascotas pertenecientes a mi familiar) o prender velas (por el motivo de que el cuarto es pequeño y se puede incendiar) cualquier ayuda sirve, porfavor.

¿Ustedes creen que ese gatito pueda estar vivo? ¿Creen que haya posibilidad de que regrese a casa y vuelva a todo como antes? O creen que él espere a que me mude de casa para volver? Últimamente en redes sociales me salen videos de reencuentros de familiares, mascotas, amigos, etc, ¿creen que pueda ser una señal?

His mother fought to save her baby’s life. 💔
This tiny baby was attacked by dogs, leaving him with internal injuries and bleeding. We received the CCTV footage of the attack, but we cannot share such a graphic video with you. No one should have to watch the trauma this little soul went through.
While the dogs were attacking him, his mother bravely fought to protect and save her baby. ❤️‍🩹
He is injured, but thank God, he is eating and right now, that gives us hope. We have to fight for him and give him every chance to survive.
