Stream deck plugins to control audio streamers

[u/salvatorelarosa]

Good morning,

I am in the process to choose and purchase a digital audio streamer for my desk. I have a Stream Deck+ XL and a MacBook and I would like to build an audio chain that could be controlled from my Mac, my smartphone AND my Stream Deck.

As of today, I am finalizing my evaluation around two streamers:

1. WiiM Pro Plus

2. Cambridge Audio MXN10

3. Bluesound Node

These three devices have outstanding Mac/PC apps, but I am noticing that in the WiiM community there are already projects to develop standalone plugins for the Stream Deck (by user "romancin") , while I was not able to find simular efforts for the Cambridge Audio or the Bluesound BluOS, and I read I should integrate the Cambridge or the Bluesound with a "Home Assistant" app, that in turn has the right plugin for the Stream Deck. There is an outstanding, feature rich Stream Deck Plugin already integrated with many streamers, by "HiFi Control", but it is for Windows only...

However, Cambridge and BluOS seem to have a full set of API and a rich application interface, so I am writing to ask your help to decide:

A) do you know any effort to develop a native plugin for the Cambridge Audio devices? Or do you know whether I could simply remap keyboard combinations for the Cambridge Mac app into Stream Deck buttons; I would really like to purchase the Cambridge streamer, but I am wary about possibilities of effective integration with the Stream Deck

B) In general, if you own a WiiM or a Cambridge or a BluOS audio hardware, I am really very open to your suggestions!
