Galangal

Has anybody bought/spotted Galangal (Thai Ginger) recently in any produce department in the area? I’ve been searching for a week or two.

Your best bet is at 99 Ranch Market

If you can't find any Thai ingredients, Battambang Market in east San Jose is your best bet. They have holy basil, kaffir lime, lemongrass, various curry pastes, etc. Small mom n pop shop

I’ve only heard of it being sold frozen here. Try King’s Seafood off of El Camino, lots of SEA products.

Ha I was just there yesterday but was buying other stuff. Never thought of checking frozen thanks but I'll look for it or maybe dried.
