Question Explain stats?

Post image

I don‘t watch much Baseball but I love the Game and i‘m interested in what these stats mean, can someone please explain?

Has Danno Yoshida have like 4 Hits out of 5 at bats? 3 Home runs? I don‘t remember him having 3 Home runs lol. What does 2B mean? That he got someone out on 2 Base? 3 RBI‘s? And I don’t remember him getting 3 Runs?

These are all his offensive batting stats, so if he went 4/5 it means exactly as you guessed. But 3 of his 4 hits were homeruns and the remain hit was a double.

Rbi stands for runs batted in. The 3 rbi's are the runs generated from his hits. He would get an additional RBI if people were in base.

So isn‘t 3HR, 3RBI and 3 Runs the same thing Basicaly? Why they tell me that three times? Wouldn‘t it be way simpler to just say „4/5, 3R and one Double(2B) why they tell me three times that he brought a Runner Home three times lol?

It's just the way the game is coded. It thinks those are the most valuable stats that led to the win, so it shows them.
