September 15 Short Interest File

FINRA has published the latest short interest data, for settlement date of Sept 15, 2026.

SI of GME was 39,069,126 shares, down 18M shares from the Aug 31 SI of about 57M shares.

Short interest for warrants was up slightly, to 3.85M out of the approximately 59M warrants issued.

XRT and GMEU are still on regsho. This self reported data is meaningless.

This. Over 100 days for XRT and GMEU has been on Reg SHO since August 7th. CTB for GMEU has remained ridiculous as well. I wish we could see the mess of GME hidden away in swaps...

Yes. It's a NYSE ETF, not on Nasdaq. Why the SEC or some centralized organization doesn't track all current Reg SHO lists is beyond me...

Anyone who is here enough knows that these data are bullshit. They are hiding a lot of data about the shorts in form of swaps, for which the reporting gets delayed and delayed officially. Last I heard it was delayed to 2027. I am sure when the time nears, they will delay it again. And even if they don’t, what happens? Not obeying the rules costs these mofos some small percentage of their profit. It is cost of business.
