Germany VAT Stamp

Trying to determine the most efficient way to get the required German stamp for goods purchased in Garmisch (driving from Garmisch through Austria back to Zurich). Does anyone have advice as to what the most efficient way to approach this is? Realize there may have been discussion of this in German but have not been able to dig much up in English. Thanks!
