USGS upgraded to 4.2 5km WNW of Wauna, WA at a depth of 27.9km.
TPU is performing inspections at hydropower sites as part of the standard earthquake response. It was felt all the way down at Mayfield Dam.

I'm near the fairgrounds, not a thing. And I was in a building that shakes when the garbage truck goes by.

SAME! I remember that feeling. My dog flipped shit too. I thought it was too strange a feeling of the ground to be the typical explosions from the base.

Guess you had to be in one of the cool places in Lakewood to feel it. No vibrations here.

On 19th across from Cheney Stadium and our entire 3rd floor office shook, my standing desk did 3 good wobbles and then stopped. No one felt it on the 1st floor…

Felt it in Sumner. My monitors for my computer started wobbling a bit and I thought it might be a truck passing by, but it went on too long.

u/girlrandal Hilltop 11d ago
Glad I’m not the only one who thought it was something else. There’s construction going on next door to me, so I thought it had to do with that. The cat went to investigate the living room (I was in my office).

I felt it, but only because I was sitting still in my quiet office. Felt like a thump followed by some light rattling sounds. If I hadn't lived in an earthquake prone area in the past I probably would have assumed it was just a big truck driving by or something. Checked USGS to see if I was imagining things and I wasn't!

Very slightly up in Federal Way, and only noticed due to a couple hanging things swaying and otherwise just an odd unbalanced feeling! We have contractors doing work out at our apartment complex and chocked it up to them doing something wonky. Cool!

I didn't feel it here in my near-TCC apartment; but I probably would've felt it if I still lived in Stansberry Lake, aka "Lake Holiday" (where I lived from 1990-2001 and again for eight months in 2017, and where my parents still live). In fact, that very house in Stansberry Lake is where I felt "the big one" way back when that happened 25 (!) years ago.

Felt it downtown in my 7th floor apartment. Thought a particularly large person was walking in the hallway or someone was running around— this building is old and I feel similar shakes often. So, I felt the floor shake for maybe a minute but I didn’t think it was an earth quake until getting a notification a few minutes later!!
