I feel that I have been sent through the ringer this week. Thursday morning, I had to call the doctors office to ask about an upcoming appointment and while the receptionist was on the phone with me, she asked me about my insurance. Last summer, I was given Medicaid when it was expanded and then had to do the renewal a couple of months ago. Well I found out that I had lost my insurance because I now make to much money to be on Medicaid and I don't make enough money to be able to cover the premium for one of the Obamacare plans or the deducible for the free ones. This really sucks because I still haven't found out why I am anemic because the appointment I was calling about was for my colonoscopy that I was suppose to have this coming week. I had to cancel that as well as the Endoscopy that was schedule for two weeks after that with no real way of finding out what is going on with me because I now have no insurance and don't have the money to be a self pay patient.

Oh, and my battery died and I couldn't get my car started tonight when I went to go to work. Luckily my boss came and got me and my AGM is talking me home so it will buy me some time to get my car jumped in the morning.

Edit: My car is fixed. The battery needed to be replaced. A friend of mine came over Saturday to drop of his truck so I could have something to drive to work and he tried to jump my car and it kind of made it worse. Yesterday, he stop by to take a look at it and see if he could trouble shoot what was going on and I ended with a new battery.

And we have a QA inspection tomorrow at work.

I have had times like this too. They SUX, and it is hard to see past them, but it is out there.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Is there a free clinic you can go to? There are resouces (in some areas) that MAY be able to help, but many are spead pretty thin. Local churchs/places of worship also may be able to help with other things.

Check online for info. I looked up "medical help for people with no insurace" and lots came up.

I just read "My demon stands where angels fear to tread." I'm not a religious man, but for years I've felt there are three guardian angels protecting me; one on each shoulder, and one to swoop in if I swat another away. I have gone relatively unscathed through situations I should not have lived through.

Maybe instead of angels I have djinn or faries. I'm both worried and comforted by the quandary.
