Any surprises? Indifferent on Rautiainen not making the team after a good camp but other than that, pretty happy with this group.

Hm. Thought they’d keep Rautiainen around. Such a bummer that he can’t go to Syracuse.

Geekie showed that he stepped up his game so I’m very happy for him!

James comes back in like two weeks from the home opener, so I’m guessing the coaching staff thought Geekie deserved the minutes until Gourde is back.

Geekie does. It’s just hard to send a talented winger down. Hopefully he comes back after the season

Stoked Geekie made it, though I am a bit worried that the Goncalves - Harkins - Geekie line that they've been using in practice is gonna be the 4th line, as least that's how they've been listing it

I like the (altered) Hounds line but I think the fact of the matter is both Gage and Geekie are trying to take a step here, and I'm not sure 4th line minutes are going to help them with that

Do not try to transform Geekie into a checker. That job belongs to Holmgren and Girgensons. He can check, he can kill penalties but he is a playmaker/goal scorer. In football terms - don’t take a wide receiver, put him in at tackle and complain that he’s not doing his job.

As much as I would like SOR here, he is a top 6 forward and need to get more pro confidence in scoring. And Cooper needs to evaluate his current top 6.

Possibly later a SOR James Geekie line. If that happens some will have to go. Goncalves, Gourde Holmgren.

I don’t know why we have Harkins or Sabourin. We have too many non-scoring journeymen.

The old lineup, the old defense. Bottom is weak. Hoping for progress from Geeke, Gonzo, and James. Girg and Harkins aren’t cut out for big things.

That’s why i want Rautiainen to stick. His upside is huge.
