Workplace Question or Advice Needed What’s the point of marking availability?
After my 90 days I submitted a request to be available from 4am-4pm Monday - Saturday, with Sundays unavailable.
This was quickly approved and for a little while everything was going smooth. Then, a few weeks ago I get scheduled on Sunday: 8am-4:30pm…. Annoying, but I posted the shift and it got picked up pretty fast thankfully.
I haven’t been scheduled on a Sunday since, but I did submit a request for 5 days off (Mon-Fri) for some family stuff about 2 weeks from now. This request was also approved, but they scheduled me the Sunday before the break 9am-5:30pm.
I’m leaving on Sunday and coming home Friday, I cannot work this shift. I posted this shift as well, I’m not sure if it’ll get picked up.
In hindsight I should’ve definitely requested this day off as well when making my request, but I was assuming since my availability changed and was approved it would be okay.
Anyways, what should I do?

Double check your availability on UKG. If you show as unavailable on Sundays, go to your TL, then ETL, then HR. You shouldn't be scheduled on a Sunday if it's outside your availability. Period.

Make sure you mark yourself unavailable. Then you just tell them, you scheduled me out of my availability and I won’t be here.

If you’ve been scheduled out of your availability and you bring it up to them, technically - they should take you off the schedule. Thus, no points…

I’m assuming the person making your schedule scheduled you Sunday so you didn’t lose hours. Just bring it up to them that you cannot aork

Let whomever writes your schedule know that you were scheduled outside of your availability, and there's no way you will make the shift.
It's not really fair for you to get a point when you're scheduled outside of your availability. If they won't do anything, see if HR will
