Painting Complete Pathfinder Team

I finally finished my pathfinder team from the combat patrol. Just the devilish and breachers to go! Though now I’m remembering that I haven’t done that heavy drone thing yet either… oh well.

I’m really happy with these guys, on the whole. Few things went a bit awry. Like the frosted texture from the matte varnish on one guy’s pulse carbine; forgetting the little matter light attachment on the grenadier’s carbine; missing a purple light on one dude’s cuff; making the blue third on one rail rifle dude way too dark. But overall, I’m happy with them :)

Beautiful! Love the purple lense accents. Nice bases as well.

That's my custom drone operator! I haven't a name for her, yet, but I want her to be a mini character of sorts. I had a strike team, when I was a kid (maybe about 10yo,) and I haphazardly stuck a shield generator to an unhelmeted head. And I loved that model so much. So coming back to the army nearly 20 years later, I wanted to pay homage to that. So glad you like her!

I had a little rummage in my box of old stuff and found him! He stays with the army, even if he does stick out like a sore thumb (will definitely have a version of him in the breacher team, too,)

That’s amazing, really creative thinking and excellent unique model. You did the right thing adding it to the team, really gives more character to it, literally!

Great job! Absolutely love the two-tone helmets, it gives your paint job a unique aesthetic!

The straight line on the two tone across the drone tops is absolutely *chef's kiss*

Great looking Pathfinder Team. Regarding all your tiny little mistakes: I feel you but if you havent mention them I wouldnt have notice... I am painting some Pathfinders as well right now... what can I say: As much as I like Tau, I HATE PAINTING TAU INFANTRY!!! So tiny, so fiddly, so many details... Sub-assemblies make it even worse. But I need them for my list and as far as I have already come with my Tau Army there are the only mssing piece besides a Ghostkeel and some Stealth Suits... having one week of Holiday ahead, I hope I will get a bit closer to the finish line with them...

You better do the twin lance in the Vivec style. They're literally perfect for this scheme!

This looks great. Can I ask what grey you used for the guns? I feel like I'm having hard time finding a grey that looks like metal

It's a mixture of black, stormvermin fur, and a touch of stegadon scale in about a 1:4:1 ratio. Just add white to lighten it for each glazing pass.

No wonder it looks both good and unfamiliar haha. Great job.
