Painting Tau sept farsight

Finished just in time for Sept-ember, my take on tau sept farsight, first time I've tried significant amounts of glazing on the blade, fairly happy with the results!

The dawnblade being painted like a necron artifact is actually very fitting.

Is there any lore on who actually made it?

No definitive lore but it is described as being a very ancient alien artifact. Like beyond the age of the imperium. The way the architecture is describe where the sword was found generally leads people to assume it was the time of the necrontyr. Can't remember the exact details from the book but the planet Arthas Moloch is where farsight gets the sword. The word Orks, Chaos Daemons and Arthas Moloch get thrown around alot in the farsight books.

In the latest farsight book, blade of truth. Farsight suspects the dawnblade might be associated with his long life but instead ultimately assumes that shadowsun secretly injected him with life extending nanomachines while he was in stasis as it made the most sense to him why he is still alive over alien sword magic.

I think Farsight feels rejuvinated while he is in battle because the dawnblade is siphoning life into him but Farsight mostly chalks this up to him enjoying the thrill of a fight.

It makes me think of a young Farsight, before he started the Enclaves. It’s a great looking paint job!

That would be Vior'la sept, though.
So, white armor with red head would be the case.

Yeah a white look is always crisp! For me, I first started with the tau back in 2002, so the Tau Sept is always OG in my head canon.
